Final agreement has been reached on the sale of Hema to Parcom and Mississippi Ventures of the Van Eerd family (Jumbo). The separtlent store chain also announced its quarterly results.
Hema has a (preliminary) deal with acquisition candidate Parcom and Jumbo family Van Eerd. The consortium has eight weeks to complete the financing. Meanwhile, the department store chain is also announcing good quarterly results.

Jumbo has already signed fifty contracts for Belgian stores, and the retailer is also in talks with independent entrepreneurs. However, CEO Frits van Eerd has dismissed speculation about a possible merger with Colruyt: "Not in my lifetime."
