Pas partout, comme le prouve cette petite cha\u00eene am\u00e9ricaine aux allures de parc d\u2019attractions alimentaire. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Fun shopping durable<\/h2>\n<p>\nPas besoin d\u2019\u00eatre grand pour affirmer sa diff\u00e9rence. <strong>Stew Leonard\u2019s<\/strong>, une cha\u00eene de supermarch\u00e9s comptant cinq points de vente dans le nord-est des \u00c9tats-Unis, a d\u00e9j\u00e0 plusieurs prix \u00e0 son palmar\u00e8s et re\u00e7oit r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement les compliments de la presse. Le distributeur a r\u00e9cemment \u00e9t\u00e9 sacr\u00e9 meilleur supermarch\u00e9 du pays par <strong>Business Insider<\/strong>, apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9sign\u00e9 par <strong>The Huffington Post<\/strong> comme l\u2019attraction touristique la plus m\u00e9connue du Connecticut. <strong>The New York Times<\/strong> l\u2019a m\u00eame compar\u00e9 \u00e0 <strong>Disneyland<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nQu\u2019est-ce qui fait donc la particularit\u00e9 de Stew Leonard\u2019s ? C\u2019est l\u2019un des rares supermarch\u00e9s au monde \u00e0 avoir r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 faire du fun shopping durable un mode \u00e9conomique rentable dans le food.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Assortiment limit\u00e9<\/h2>\n<p>\nL\u2019entreprise trouve ses origines dans le secteur laitier : Charles Leonard tenait une laiterie et livrait du lait \u00e0 domicile. Son fils Stew ne voyait toutefois pas d\u2019avenir \u00e0 ce mod\u00e8le \u00e9conomique et r\u00eavait d\u2019un magasin o\u00f9 les enfants pourraient assister \u00e0 la mise en bouteille du lait pendant que leur m\u00e8re ferait ses emplettes dans l\u2019ambiance d\u2019un march\u00e9 fermier. Le premier magasin de Stew Leonard\u2019s a ouvert ses portes en 1969 et ne vendait que huit produits.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nL\u2019assortiment de Stew Leonard\u2019s est encore de nos jours beaucoup plus limit\u00e9 que celui du supermarch\u00e9 standard : environ 2 200 r\u00e9f\u00e9rences, principalement dans les cat\u00e9gories du frais (produits laitiers, viande, poisson, boulangerie, fruits et l\u00e9gumes, vin\u2026). L\u2019\u00e9troitesse de l\u2019assortiment n\u2019est visiblement pas une entrave au chiffre d\u2019affaires puisque l\u2019entreprise est entr\u00e9e en 1992 au <strong>Guinness Book of World Records<\/strong> comme la cha\u00eene g\u00e9n\u00e9rant le chiffre d\u2019affaires par m\u00e8tre carr\u00e9 le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 de tous les supermarch\u00e9s am\u00e9ricains. La marque propre de l\u2019enseigne jouit d\u2019une excellente r\u00e9putation de qualit\u00e9. Stew Leonard\u2019s se targue en outre d\u2019offrir des prix 10 \u00e0 15 % plus bas que les supermarch\u00e9s traditionnels.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Employeur attrayant<\/h2>\n<p>\nL\u2019un des piliers du succ\u00e8s aux dires m\u00eames de l\u2019entreprise est l\u2019attention accord\u00e9e aux employ\u00e9s. Sa devise : \u00ab Prenez bien soin de vos employ\u00e9s et ils prendront bien soin de vos client \u00bb. Mais aussi : \u00ab Impossible d\u2019\u00eatre un formidable lieu de shopping sans \u00eatre un formidable lieu de travail \u00bb. Cette philosophie a valu \u00e0 Stew Leonard\u2019s de figurer dix ann\u00e9es de suite dans le \u2018Top 100 best companies to work for\u2019 de <strong>Fortune Magazine<\/strong>. Stew Leonard\u2019s emploie aussi deux fois plus de personnel dans ses magasins qu\u2019un supermarch\u00e9 moyen. Chaque collaborateur suit 50 heures de formation par an. Un investissement qui s\u2019av\u00e8re payant.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Le client a toujours raison<\/h2>\n<p>\nL\u2019attention pour le client est logiquement le second pilier. \u00c0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e de chaque magasin tr\u00f4ne un rocher en granite de trois tonnes dans lequel sont grav\u00e9es les r\u00e8gles de l\u2019orientation client.
