L’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, Amazon<\/strong> est devenu le plus grand d\u00e9taillant d’Europe en termes de volume de ventes, apr\u00e8s avoir enregistr\u00e9 une croissance \u00e0 deux chiffres. Le propri\u00e9taire de Lidl<\/strong>, Schwarz Group<\/strong>, suit de pr\u00e8s, tandis que les autres concurrents accusent un retard important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un mod\u00e8le de march\u00e9 gagnant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pour la premi\u00e8re fois, Amazon est num\u00e9ro un en Europe, y compris au Royaume-Uni. Le d\u00e9taillant am\u00e9ricain a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 l’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re une valeur commerciale brute (GMV) de 179,7 milliards d’euros, soit l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus que l’allemand Schwarz, propri\u00e9taire de Lidl et Kaufland, qui suit de pr\u00e8s avec 179,4 milliards d’euros. L’\u00e9cart avec le num\u00e9ro trois, Aldi<\/strong>, s’\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 plus de 80 milliards d’euros. C’est ce qui ressort du rapport annuel du consultant Retail Cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, Amazon et Schwarz ont tous deux accru leur avance sur le reste du peloton des d\u00e9taillants. Sur la base du chiffre d’affaires net purement consolid\u00e9, Schwarz reste toutefois plus important qu’Amazon, qui doit en partie sa domination \u00e0 son mod\u00e8le de place de march\u00e9 : plus de 125 000 PME europ\u00e9ennes utilisent les services de la plateforme. Ensemble, elles repr\u00e9sentent d\u00e9j\u00e0 plus de 30 milliards d’euros de chiffre d’affaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Des acteurs en forte croissance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Le classement illustre l’\u00e9volution des rapports de force entre le commerce en ligne et le commerce physique. Les entreprises de commerce \u00e9lectronique figurant dans le top 50 de Retail Cities ont enregistr\u00e9 une croissance de 17 %, contre une croissance moyenne de 7 % pour le commerce en ligne. Les entreprises en ligne repr\u00e9sentent 8 des 10 d\u00e9taillants \u00e0 la croissance la plus rapide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DoorDash et Temu ont enregistr\u00e9 la plus forte croissance. Le premier a ajout\u00e9 11 milliards d’euros \u00e0 la GMV gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’acquisition de Deliveroo, tandis que le second a ajout\u00e9 10 milliards gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’expansion de ses places de march\u00e9 dans toute l’Europe. Action<\/strong> a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une forte expansion organique, tandis qu’Ahold Delhaize<\/strong> et Marks & Spencer <\/strong>ont connu une croissance gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des acquisitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volumes stables<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab La vigueur avec laquelle les d\u00e9taillants de places de march\u00e9 se d\u00e9veloppent en Europe nous a vraiment surpris lorsque nous avons examin\u00e9 les r\u00e9sultats de fin d’ann\u00e9e \u00bb, d\u00e9clare Ray Gaul, PDG de Retail Cities. \u00ab Alors que les applications de march\u00e9 chinoises ont connu un ralentissement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral au second semestre 2025, la plupart des autres d\u00e9taillants ont acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9 leur croissance, ce qui signifie que 2026 pourrait bien \u00eatre une autre ann\u00e9e formidable pour les march\u00e9s en Europe. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les d\u00e9penses de consommation europ\u00e9ennes dans le commerce de d\u00e9tail ont d\u00e9pass\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois les 4 500 milliards d’euros en 2025 sur une base annuelle. Sur une base annuelle, cela repr\u00e9sente un taux de croissance de 3,7 %, tandis que l’inflation des prix des denr\u00e9es alimentaires et du commerce de d\u00e9tail pour l’ensemble de l’ann\u00e9e 2025 devrait se situer entre 3,1 et 3,5 %, ce qui indique que la croissance en volume a \u00e9t\u00e9 stable \u00e0 l\u00e9g\u00e8rement positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
