Les n\u00e9gociations entre ces deux concurrents du secteur des FMCG ont \u00e9chou\u00e9 lorsque Kraft Heinz a abandonn\u00e9 ses projets de scission ; Unilever poursuit d\u00e9sormais ses efforts de son c\u00f4t\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Heinz et Hellmann&rsquo;s, presque fr\u00e8res<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Un nouveau g\u00e9ant de l&rsquo;alimentation \u00e9tait sur le point de voir le jour : selon le Financial Times, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/e7e66622-50c9-493f-9076-6914f247247f?syn-25a6b1a6=1\">les deux groupes discutaient d&rsquo;une fusion<\/a> entre la division alimentaire d&rsquo;Unilever et la branche sauces de Kraft Heinz. Un accord aurait non seulement donn\u00e9 naissance \u00e0 une nouvelle multinationale valant des dizaines de milliards de dollars, mais des marques rivales telles que le ketchup Heinz et la mayonnaise Hellmann\u2019s auraient d\u00e9sormais \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9unies sous un m\u00eame toit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les discussions ont toutefois \u00e9t\u00e9 interrompues entre-temps, sans r\u00e9sultat concret. En effet, Kraft Heinz a abandonn\u00e9 en f\u00e9vrier ses projets de scission et opte d\u00e9sormais pour une restructuration interne. Sous la houlette de son PDG Steve Cahillane, le groupe investit 600 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains (552 millions d\u2019euros) dans un plan de redressement. Cahillane a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu&rsquo;une scission n&rsquo;\u00e9tait \u00ab plus opportune \u00bb compte tenu de la d\u00e9t\u00e9rioration des conditions du march\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pression sur les marques alimentaires<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Unilever poursuit quant \u00e0 lui ses recherches. Selon l&rsquo;agence de presse Bloomberg, le groupe \u00e9tudie en effet une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/fr\/news\/food\/unilever-envisage-de-scinder-sa-division-alimentaire\/\">\u00e9ventuelle scission de l&rsquo;ensemble de sa branche alimentaire<\/a>. Sous la direction de son PDG Fernando Fernandez, Unilever se repositionne de plus en plus clairement vers des segments offrant une croissance et des marges plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es, tels que les soins personnels et la beaut\u00e9. Dans le secteur alimentaire, le potentiel de croissance reste structurellement plus limit\u00e9. Une d\u00e9cision n&rsquo;est toutefois pas attendue avant 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00eame si le projet ne se concr\u00e9tise pas, les discussions entre les deux concurrents soulignent la pression que subissent les groupes de biens de grande consommation. Les deux entreprises sont confront\u00e9es \u00e0 un ralentissement de la demande et cherchent \u00e0 se d\u00e9velopper dans des cat\u00e9gories en \u00e9volution plus rapide.
