A noter que les grands fabricants de marques sont \u00e0 la traine.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<h2>Croissance de 0,9%<\/h2>\n<p>En 2016 les consommateurs de neuf pays d\u2019Europe occidentale ont d\u00e9pens\u00e9 4,3 milliards d\u2019euros de plus en produits FMCG compar\u00e9 \u00e0 2015, ce qui repr\u00e9sente <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nielsen.com\/content\/dam\/nielsenglobal\/eu\/docs\/pdf\/Nielsen_European_Trends_Report_Q4_2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">une croissance de 0,9%<\/a>. L\u2019alimentation fra\u00eeche a g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 1,6 milliard d\u2019euros, soit 38% de la croissance totale ; les friandises et les snacks\u00a0 1 milliard d\u2019euros (23%) ; et les boissons alcoolis\u00e9es 849 millions d\u2019euros (20%). Ces trois cat\u00e9gories r\u00e9unies ont donc g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 80% de la croissance des d\u00e9penses alimentaires en 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\nLa croissance de l\u2019alimentation fra\u00eeche et des friandises s\u2019explique par le fait que les consommateurs ont achet\u00e9 davantage de produits, alors que la croissance des boissons alcoolis\u00e9es est due essentiellement aux prix plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s, indique Olivier Deschamps, Senior Vice President Retailer Services Western Europe, Canada &amp; Pacific chez Nielsen.<\/p>\n<h2>\nFocus sur le frais<\/h2>\n<p>La croissance significative de l\u2019alimentation fra\u00eeche est un constat int\u00e9ressant, estime-t-il : \u00ab Visiblement les retailers se focalisent sur le frais, afin d\u2019attirer les clients et am\u00e9liorer leur image. En examinant les sous-cat\u00e9gories, il appara\u00eet que les repas frais, la bi\u00e8re, les fruits et l\u00e9gumes frais et l\u2019eau min\u00e9rale ont le plus contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la croissance de la cat\u00e9gorie food. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\nEn Belgique la croissance est attribuable avant tout aux repas frais, aux boissons rafra\u00eechissantes p\u00e9tillantes, \u00e0 la bi\u00e8re, \u00e0 l\u2019eau min\u00e9rale et au lait de longue conservation. Par contre on note une baisse pour le fromage frais, les jus de fruits de longue conservation, le whisky, les desserts frais et la margarine.<\/p>\n<h2>\nAugmentation des promotions<\/h2>\n<p>A noter que les fabricants qui ne font pas partie des dix plus grands acteurs ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 70% de la croissance sur le march\u00e9 FMCG en Europe de l\u2019Ouest, alors que les labels priv\u00e9s ont g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 les 30% restants. En revanche les fabricants du top 10 ont vu reculer les d\u00e9penses des consommateurs de 430 millions d\u2019euros. Les fabricants ne faisant pas partie du top 10 d\u00e9tiennent actuellement une part de march\u00e9 de 46,6%, suivis des labels priv\u00e9s (36%) et du top 10 (17,4%).<\/p>\n<p>\nLa moiti\u00e9 de la croissance sur le march\u00e9 FMCG (2,2 milliards d\u2019euros) est attribuable aux produits en promotion. Les retailers ont eu davantage recours aux promotions afin d\u2019inciter les consommateurs \u00e0 acheter plus de produits.
