Selon l&rsquo;initiateur de la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre campagne &lsquo;Zot van A&rsquo;, un retour \u00e0 l&rsquo;imagination s&rsquo;impose. Lors de la RetailDetail Night du 29 novembre il nous expliquera en quoi cette approche g\u00e9n\u00e8re \u00e9galement un ROI.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Un Return on Investment par un Return on Imagination\u00a0\u00bb, tel est le credo de Demey. \u00ab\u00a0Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es les retailers accordent une grande attention \u00e0 la technologie. Certes, c&rsquo;est bien car il faut rester \u00e0 la page, mais ils recherchent trop souvent la solution ultime dans la technologie. Je souhaite nuancer le mythe du sacro-saint SEO et SEA.\u00a0\u00bb S&rsquo;agissant de communication, les retailers ont tendance \u00e0 passer imm\u00e9diatement \u00e0 la r\u00e9colte sans avoir sem\u00e9 au pr\u00e9alable, estime Demey. \u00ab\u00a0Trop souvent la communication vise la transaction (les folders avec les promotions, porfitez des conditions Black Friday, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 \u00e9puisement du stock ..). O\u00f9 est donc pass\u00e9 l&rsquo;art de la s\u00e9duction ?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Le marketing ne se limite pas aux &lsquo;big data&rsquo;<\/h2>\n<p>Dans le retail une approche trop rationnelle est vou\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chec, selon Demey. Un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne qu&rsquo;il a pu constater lorsqu&rsquo;il travaillait chez V&amp;D et chez <strong>BBDO<\/strong>, o\u00f9 il \u00e9tait charg\u00e9 du d\u00e9partement retail. \u00ab\u00a0Le principal probl\u00e8me des retailers d&rsquo;aujourd&rsquo;hui est leur manque de pertinence. Les entreprises copient trop souvent ce que font les autres. Au risque d&rsquo;\u00eatre cru, je pense que dans certains secteurs il y a tout bonnement trop d&rsquo;acteurs.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Actuellement les m\u00e9dias bon march\u00e9, du style Facebook, font primer la pr\u00e9sence sur la pertinence. A ses d\u00e9buts LDV avait de tr\u00e8s nombreux clients-retailers. A l&rsquo;\u00e9poque on accordait une grande attention \u00e0 la strat\u00e9gie et la cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9, mais aujourd&rsquo;hui lorsqu&rsquo;on prononce le mot &lsquo;image&rsquo;, les marketeurs ont l&rsquo;estomac tout retourn\u00e9.\u00a0 Et pourtant dans le retail l&rsquo;on s&rsquo;adresse \u00e0 des personnes, des individus, comme vous et moi. Tout cela ne peut se r\u00e9sumer en donn\u00e9es.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0On nous r\u00e9p\u00e8te inlassablement la m\u00eame histoire d&rsquo;un tsunami qui nous guette, de la menace d&rsquo;<strong>Amazon<\/strong> et d&rsquo;<strong>Alibaba<\/strong>. Je me suis rendu chez Alibaba, j&rsquo;ai visit\u00e9 Silicon Valley. Je ne suis pas aveugle, bien s\u00fbr c&rsquo;est important, mais cela ne signifie pas qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y a pas autre chose. Nous devons redonner sa place \u00e0 l&rsquo;individu via la cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Pour que le retail s&rsquo;humanise \u00e0 nouveau Demey conseille de m\u00e9langer les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, jeunes et moins jeunes. Ce mix est passionnant, non pas en raison des diff\u00e9rences d&rsquo;\u00e2ge, mais parce qu&rsquo;ainsi les &lsquo;digital natives&rsquo; se trouvent c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te avec des gens qui ont d&rsquo;autres valeurs. \u00ab\u00a0Aujourd&rsquo;hui la jeune g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de marketeurs se pr\u00e9occupe davantange de tableaux Excel que de la marque en soi. Le marketing ne se limite pas \u00e0 ces tabelaux et aux &lsquo;big data&rsquo;. D&rsquo;ailleurs trois quarts des entreprises ne savent toujours pas comment se servir de ces donn\u00e9es.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Intersection entre pertinence et caract\u00e8re dinstinctif<\/h2>\n<p>Chez LDV le marketeur utilise un mod\u00e8le bas\u00e9 sur deux axes : la pertinence et le caract\u00e8re distinctif. \u00ab\u00a0Je plaide pour une approche davantage centr\u00e9e sur le consommateur, sur l&rsquo;individu. Un &lsquo;Return on Investment&rsquo; par un &lsquo;Return on Imaginiation&rsquo;, voil\u00e0 ce qui peut sauver le retail. Est-ce que j&rsquo;y crois vraiment ? Oui, je suis convaincu que c&rsquo;est la d\u00e9marche \u00e0 suivre, si nous ne voulons pas \u00e9chouer. Je ne nie pas que le retail conna\u00eetra encore de nombreux changements, mais ceux qui feront preuve de pertinence et de caract\u00e8re distinctif sortiront gagnants.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;optimisme n&rsquo;est pas seulement un &lsquo;devoir moral&rsquo;, il y a des tas de raisons de l&rsquo;\u00eatre, estime Demey : \u00ab\u00a0Il y a suffisamment d&rsquo;exemples positifs, sauf que parmi les retailers de chez nous, h\u00e9las, il y a bien longtemps que quelqu&rsquo;un s&rsquo;est montr\u00e9 audacieux. On nous rabat les oreilles avec l&rsquo;\u00e9xp\u00e9rience client en magasin, mais concr\u00e8tement il ne se passe pas grand-chose. Des retailers audacieux comme A.S. Adventure\u00a0se font rares. Ou comme JBC qui lors du &lsquo;buitenspeeldag&rsquo; (litt\u00e9ralement : journ\u00e9e de jeu en plein air) d\u00e9cide de fermer tous ses magasins.
