C&rsquo;est ce qui ressort d&rsquo;une nouvelle \u00e9tude \u00e0 l\u2019initiative de <strong>Fevia<\/strong>, la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration de l&rsquo;industrie alimentaire belge.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Trois groupes<\/h2>\n<p>Comment les consommateurs belges per\u00e7oivent-ils l&rsquo;alimentation durable et qu&rsquo;attendent-ils des entreprises alimentaires \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard ? Ce sont les principales questions auxquelles Fevia voulait obtenir une r\u00e9ponse.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Selon l&rsquo;\u00e9tude, les consommateurs belges peuvent \u00eatre divis\u00e9s en trois groupes. Pour le groupe le plus important (40%), la qualit\u00e9 est le principal crit\u00e8re d&rsquo;achat, suivi du prix. Ces consommateurs s\u2019int\u00e9ressent surtout \u00e0 la durabilit\u00e9 lorsqu&rsquo;ils ach\u00e8tent des aliments et des boissons.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>38 % des consommateurs sont tr\u00e8s sceptiques \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9gard des producteurs. Ils reconnaissent l&rsquo;importance de la durabilit\u00e9, mais ils sont principalement guid\u00e9s par le prix. La qualit\u00e9 et le go\u00fbt sont secondaires.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Le troisi\u00e8me groupe (22 %) est constitu\u00e9 des <em>non-believers<\/em>. Ils se soucient peu de la durabilit\u00e9 et ne croient pas que leurs choix peuvent vraiment faire la diff\u00e9rence. Ces consommateurs sont principalement guid\u00e9s par le prix.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>D\u00e9fi climatique<\/h2>\n<p>Bien s\u00fbr, ces groupes ne sont pas fig\u00e9s : 38 % des r\u00e9pondants d\u00e9clarent avoir modifi\u00e9 leur comportement d&rsquo;achat au cours de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e \u00e9coul\u00e9e. Ce n&rsquo;est pas la crise du coronavirus mais l\u2019enjeu climatique qui est le principal moteur du changement du mod\u00e8le alimentaire. Par exemple, ils ach\u00e8tent davantage de produits locaux et de fruits et l\u00e9gumes ou choisissent des produits avec un emballage r\u00e9duit ou plus durable.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>37 % des Belges sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 payer davantage pour des aliments durables. N\u00e9anmoins, la durabilit\u00e9 n&rsquo;est jamais le principal incitant derri\u00e8re les choix des consommateurs. La qualit\u00e9, le go\u00fbt et le prix restent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement d\u00e9cisifs. Comme les consommateurs associent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement les produits issus d&rsquo;une production durable \u00e0 une meilleure qualit\u00e9 et \u00e0 un meilleur go\u00fbt, la durabilit\u00e9 a un effet indirect sur la consommation.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Innovation<\/h2>\n<p>Il est \u00e9galement \u00e9tonnant de constater qu&rsquo;une majorit\u00e9 de consommateurs (59 %) se disent m\u00e9fiants \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard de l&rsquo;utilisation de la technologie dans la production alimentaire. Ils ont peu confiance dans les innovations, m\u00eame lorsqu&rsquo;elles contribuent \u00e0 rendre l&rsquo;alimentation plus durable, plus s\u00fbre et plus abordable.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Les consommateurs attendent avant tout des producteurs des aliments s\u00fbrs, abordables et \u00e9quilibr\u00e9s. Ils attachent \u00e9galement une grande importance \u00e0 la lutte contre le gaspillage, au bien-\u00eatre animal, \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction des emballages et \u00e0 la production locale (voir image ci-dessous).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Feuille de route<\/h2>\n<p>Fin du mois, Fevia lancera une nouvelle feuille de route de durabilit\u00e9 pour l&rsquo;industrie alimentaire belge. \u00ab\u00a0L&rsquo;\u00e9tude montre clairement que les consommateurs belges sont de plus en plus sensibles \u00e0 la durabilit\u00e9 et \u00e0 des th\u00e8mes sp\u00e9cifiques tels que le bien-\u00eatre animal ou l&rsquo;alimentation locale.
