Cette prise de participation semble assurer la continuit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;activit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participation majoritaire<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Central Group, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d&rsquo;investissement de la famille milliardaire tha\u00eflandaise Chirativat, a acquis une participation majoritaire dans la coentreprise avec le groupe autrichien Signa, qui poss\u00e8de le groupe Selfridges, \u00e0 la suite de la conversion d&rsquo;un pr\u00eat en actions. Le fonds prend ainsi le contr\u00f4le du groupe, qui, outre Selfridges, comprend \u00e9galement les grands magasins de luxe Brown Thomas &amp; Arnotts en Irlande et De Bijenkorf aux Pays-Bas. Pour les salari\u00e9s, rien ne changera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;op\u00e9ration n&rsquo;est pas inattendue : Signa est en proie \u00e0 des difficult\u00e9s financi\u00e8res depuis un certain temps et son principal dirigeant, Ren\u00e9 Benko, a d\u00fb se retirer r\u00e9cemment sous la pression des investisseurs. Un expert en restructuration a \u00e9t\u00e9 charg\u00e9 de r\u00e9tablir la sant\u00e9 financi\u00e8re du groupe. La cession de certains investissements devrait y contribuer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Signa et Central Group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/fr\/news\/general\/lacquisition-de-selfridges-et-bijenkorf-finalisee\/\">ont acquis Selfridges l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re<\/a> pour quelque 4,6 milliards d&rsquo;euros. Ensemble, ils poss\u00e8dent \u00e9galement des grands magasins de luxe r\u00e9put\u00e9s tels que Rinascente en Italie, Illum au Danemark, KaDeWe, Oberpollinger et Alsterhaus en Allemagne et Globus en Suisse. Signa poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement le groupe allemand de grands magasins <strong>Galeria<\/strong>, qui doit lui aussi se d\u00e9barrasser d&rsquo;une montagne de dettes.
