De recente ScanMania-campagne van <strong>Carrefour<\/strong> toont aan dat het kan. \u201cHet gaat niet enkel om promotie, maar om een activatiecampagne die bijdraagt aan een onderscheidende identiteit\u201d, zeggen Isabel Donvil en Pieter Van Tendeloo van AddRetail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Van idee naar momentum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De goudstaven zijn intussen uitgedeeld: met de tweede editie van de grote ScanMania-campagne wilde Carrefour zich steviger op de kaart zetten in de enorm competitieve Belgische foodretailmarkt. Deze campagne draaide niet alleen om promotie, maar ook om het activeren en bouwen aan zichtbaarheid in aanloop van de belangrijke eindejaarperiode. \u201c<em>Top of mind<\/em> zijn is essentieel, en ScanMania hielp Carrefour daarbij door een eigen momentum te cre\u00ebren\u201d, benadrukt Van Tendeloo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AddRetail speelde een sleutelrol in uitwerking en co\u00f6rdinatie van deze activatiecampagne. \u201cOnze taak was het concept door te vertalen naar verschillende communicatiekanalen, zowel fysiek als digitaal, samen met andere <em>above the line<\/em>-agentschappen. Het draait allemaal om een consistente ervaring\u201d, vervolgt Donvil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Het retailgevecht in de winkelstraat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De strijd in foodretail wordt vaak lokaal gevoerd, en dat maakt een doordachte uitvoering cruciaal. \u201cElke winkel heeft een andere context, afhankelijk van de concurrentie in de buurt. Dat vraagt maatwerk per winkelformat, van Carrefour Express tot hypermarkt\u201d, legt Donvil uit. \u201cEen van de mooiste complimenten die we op de campagneboeken kregen, is dat de teams in de winkels op de hoogte en enthousiast waren. Die duidelijkheid voor en betrokkenheid van medewerkers is een belangrijke troef. Daar werd door Carrefour op ingezet voor een goede executie.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bovendien zorgde Carrefour voor extra draagvlak door het directiecomit\u00e9 te betrekken bij de uitrol in de winkels. Dit gaf de campagne niet alleen zichtbaarheid, maar ook interne kracht.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Promotiedruk versus loyaliteit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De marges zijn de afgelopen jaren sterk gekrompen, wat betekent dat de druk op de retailers groter wordt om marktaandeel te pakken en omzet te halen. Maar supermarkten kijken te veel naar elkaar, vinden Donvil en Van Tendeloo: \u201cDoet de concurrentie een 2+2 actie, dan wij ook. Die <em>race to the bottom<\/em> moet stoppen: retailers beseffen wel dat lokaal servicedesign of het cre\u00ebren van belevingen eigenlijk veel meer doet voor de klantentrouw dan promotieacties, maar de urgentie van de kwartaalcijfers is groot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Call to action: leren omdenken<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Leren omdenken wordt volgens Donvil en Van Tendeloo de opdracht voor foodretail. \u201cHet gaat om het cre\u00ebren van waardevolle momenten die verder gaan dan prijs en promo. ScanMania is daar een goed voorbeeld van: het is een activatiecampagne die meer doet dan kortingen aanbieden door de verschillende activiteiten in de winkelpunten, het bouwt mee aan relevantie en herkenbaarheid.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In het voorprogramma \u201cGamechangers\u201d op de RetailDetail Night op 21 november komen Kris Van den Brandt van AddRetail en Dave Froidcoeur van Carrefour enkele lessen delen na twee edities van ScanMania.
