Huismerken zijn de belangrijkste motor achter de heropleving van de FMCG-markt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stijgend marktaandeel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Huismerken hebben vorig jaar hun Europees marktaandeel met 0,11&nbsp;procentpunt zien stijgen in vergelijking met&nbsp;2023: ze vertegenwoordigen een aandeel van&nbsp;38,1% in de totale FMCG-markt. Die is in zijn geheel nu 924&nbsp;miljard waard, bijna honderd miljard meer dan in&nbsp;2022. Marktonderzoeksbureau NielsenIQ zag een stijging voor distributiemerken in negen van de zeventien onderzochte landen, meldt de organisatie van huismerkfabrikanten PLMA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In tien Europese landen hebben huismerken een marktaandeel van meer dan&nbsp;30%, in vijf zelfs meer dan&nbsp;40%. De sterkste groei was er in Spanje, met een stijging van het huismerkaandeel van 1,2&nbsp;procentpunt. Daarna kwamen Tsjechi\u00eb (+0,5&nbsp;procentpunt), Portugal (+0,4&nbsp;procentpunt) en Frankrijk (ook +0,4&nbsp;procentpunt). Zwitserland blijft de sterkste huismerkenmarkt met een aandeel van&nbsp;52,0%: het is nog steeds het enige land met een aandeel van meer dan&nbsp;50%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Veranderde positionering<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Na een daling van de volumes in&nbsp;2023 vertoont de FMCG-markt opnieuw tekenen van herstel, blijkt uit de cijfers. Het totale volume steeg in&nbsp;2024 met&nbsp;1,27%. Huismerken zijn de belangrijkste motor achter deze opleving: ze hebben bijgedragen aan meer dan&nbsp;75% van de totale groei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Een verschuiving in de houding van consumenten zorgt voor een verandering in de positionering van huismerken. Volgens NielsenIQ geeft precies de helft van de consumenten aan dat ze meer bereid zijn om huismerkproducten te kopen, en is 40% bereid om er een hogere prijs voor te betalen als ze een superieure kwaliteit zien. Deze trend suggereert een \u201cmerk-effect\u201d binnen huismerken: ze evolueren van budgetvriendelijke alternatieven naar competitieve, kwaliteitsgerichte productlijnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uit een recente peiling van PLMA blijkt dat negen van de tien retailers en fabrikanten van huismerken geloven dat de verkoop van huismerken de komende jaren zal blijven groeien.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>De omzet uit huismerken in Europa groeide vorig jaar naar 352 miljard euro.
