Wel was er een onrustwekkende trend: de ombudsdienst vermoedt meer fraude bij leveringen en retourzendingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Klachten vooral over e-commerce<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De Consumentenombudsdienst behandelde in&nbsp;2024 bijna 15.000&nbsp;consumentenvragen en -klachten, waarvan 3.602&nbsp;dossiers aanleiding gaven tot een bemiddelingsprocedure. Er kwamen 4%&nbsp;minder meldingen binnen, maar toch kwam het tot iets meer minnelijke schikkingen: 2.092 tegenover 2.011 in het voorgaande jaar. Bemiddeling bewijst dus haar nut, meent de dienst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Retail was opvallend genoeg de sector met de meeste klachten, vooral dan in verband met grote huishoudtoestellen, meubelen en kleding. Niet-geleverde goederen bij onlinebestellingen vormen met 985&nbsp;meldingen de grootste frustratiebron. Andere pijnpunten: onbereikbare klantendiensten, niet-erkende garanties en fouten bij betalingen of voorschotten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leverings- en retourfraude: nieuwe kopzorg<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Een van de meest verontrustende trends is de stijging van vermoedelijke fraude bij leveringen en retourzendingen. Consumenten claimen bijvoorbeeld dat pakketten niet zijn aangekomen, ondanks een bevestigde levering via <em>track&amp;trace<\/em>. Andere vormen van misbruik betreffen verdwenen pakketten aan de voordeur of retourzendingen die leeg of verkeerd aangekomen zijn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De complexiteit van deze geschillen \u2014 waarbij consument, verkoper \u00e9n postbedrijf betrokken zijn \u2014 maakt bemiddeling lastig. De Consumentenombudsdienst vermoedt in bepaalde gevallen opzettelijke misleiding, zoals consumenten die bestellingen plaatsen en laten terugbetalen via het herroepingsrecht, zonder correcte retour. Harde bewijzen zijn schaars, maar het patroon is zorgwekkend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De dienst adviseert voorzichtigheid: consumenten doen er goed aan dure aankopen fysiek te retourneren. Bedrijven zouden best investeren in betere verzekering bij verzending, en afhaalopties aanbieden via pakketpunten of kluizen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Investeer in bereikbaarheid en geschillenbeheer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Een andere vaststelling is de gebrekkige bereikbaarheid van ondernemingen. Klanten botsen op chatbots, onvindbare contactgegevens of late reacties. Dit frustreert consumenten en leidt tot escalaties. Bovendien kan het een schending betekenen van artikel XVI.3 van het Wetboek Economisch Recht, dat snelle klachtenbehandeling verplicht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Consumentenombudsdienst roept bedrijven op om te investeren in toegankelijke communicatie: een goed klachtenbeheer is geen last, maar net een kans om klantrelaties te versterken. Bedrijven die openstaan voor bemiddeling bouwen aan vertrouwen en vermijden dure procedures. Kleine gebaren, zoals een terugbetaling van 10&nbsp;euro, kunnen zelfs een klantlevenslange loyaliteit opleveren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preventie is cruciaal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De toename van leverings- en retourproblemen, in combinatie met verminderde bereikbaarheid van bedrijven, vormt een bedreiging voor het consumentenvertrouwen. Zowel consumenten als ondernemingen dragen de verantwoordelijkheid om misbruik en conflicten te vermijden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Consumentenombudsdienst blijft inzetten op bemiddeling en individuele aanbevelingen \u2014 in&nbsp;2024 ging het om 1.627&nbsp;adviezen \u2014 maar rekent ook op de sector zelf om zich aan te passen aan de complexe realiteit van de digitale verkoop.
