Met de &#8220;onwaarschijnlijke&#8221; opmars van TikTok voelen retailers de druk van een opkomend retailmodel, suggereert een nieuwe studie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Platformen voor merken<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Instagram blijft het populairste socialemediaplatform in Belgi\u00eb, maar TikTok is aan een flinke opmars bezig. Terwijl vijf jaar geleden amper&nbsp;9% van de Vlaamse jongeren TikTok dagelijks gebruikte, is dat nu al gestegen&nbsp;tot&nbsp;72% voor heel Belgi\u00eb. Vooral bij jongeren van&nbsp;16&nbsp;tot 24&nbsp;jaar is de groei opvallend. Dat blijkt uit de zesde editie van de SMI Barometer, het jaarlijkse onderzoek van Arteveldehogeschool en handelsfederatie Comeos naar het socialemediagebruik in Belgi\u00eb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instagram en TikTok profileren zich steeds nadrukkelijker als waardevolle platformen voor merken. 58,3% van de 16- tot 39-jarigen volgt merken op Instagram, terwijl 32% dat doet op TikTok. 59,6% van de gebruikers zegt via Instagram merken te hebben leren kennen, dat is zelfs 63,8% bij 16- tot 24-jarigen. Daarnaast zoekt meer dan een derde van de gebruikers (36,7%) via de app actief naar merkinformatie. TikTok volgt als tweede: daar ontdekte 51,2% van de gebruikers nieuwe merken, en 35,3% zocht er bewust naar informatie over merken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Virtuele influencers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Daarbij spelen influencers een doorslaggevende rol: bijna driekwart van de 16- tot 39-jarigen volgt bekende gezichten op sociale media, en 47,2% leerde zo een merk of product kennen. Bij jongeren (16-24 jaar) is de impact nog groter: 83,9% volgt influencers, <em>content creators<\/em> of <em>celebrities<\/em> op sociale media. 57,3% leerde een product, dienst of merk kennen via hen, 51,1% zocht meer info op over een merk door hun toedoen en een derde (34,3%) ging over tot een aankoop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ook het fenomeen van virtuele influencers is stilaan ingeburgerd: 47,2% van de respondenten kent het concept, en 15,1% volgt effectief een of meerdere virtuele influencers. 74,2% vindt het belangrijk dat transparant wordt gecommuniceerd wanneer een influencer niet echt is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Klantenbinding onder druk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sociale media blijven (voorlopig) wel eerder een inspiratiebron dan een direct verkoopkanaal: 45% zegt via sociale media vooral idee\u00ebn te verzamelen, maar aankopen liever offline of via een klassieke webshop te doen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDe vraag is hoelang dat nog gaat duren\u201d, stelt Kristof Delhez, innovatiemanager bij Comeos. \u201cHoewel TikTok Shop nog niet actief is ons land (maar wel in Frankrijk), werpt dat nu al zijn schaduw op de retailsector. Traditionele winkels en ketens voelen de druk van een opkomend verkoopmodel waarin virale zichtbaarheid, lage prijzen en impulsieve aankopen centraal staan.
