Voorlopig is de consument echter nog niet helemaal klaar om overal gevolgd te worden.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Aangepaste advertenties<\/h2>\n<p>Gezichtsherkenning kan door retailers gebruikt worden om de reclame of service in de winkels volledig aan te passen aan de noden van de klant. Zo kan de inhoud van de schermen in een winkel veranderd worden wanneer een bepaalde klant de winkel binnen stapt, maar ook het personeel kan op de hoogte gebracht worden van bijvoorbeeld een nakende verjaardag van een shopper.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Een deel van de technologie werd oorspronkelijk ontwikkeld voor gebruik door onder andere de politie, maar die wordt nu aangepast voor gebruik in de retailwereld. E\u00e9n van de redenen voor het gebruik van gezichtsherkenning is de concurrentie van de online wereld, waar advertenties die zijn aangepast aan de gebruiker momenteel al schering en inslag zijn. Met gezichtsherkenning kan dat systeem ook overgebracht worden naar de fysieke wereld.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Heel wat klanten zijn momenteel echter nog terughoudend over het gebruik van gezichtsherkenning binnen het retaillandschap. \u201cHeel wat retailers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2016-03-03\/retail-stores-experiment-with-surveillance-tools-used-by-police\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">zijn bang van de terugslag die zou ontstaan als ze ontdekt worden<\/a>\u201d, zegt Bryan Roberts van retailmarketig bedrijf <strong>TCC Global<\/strong> aan Bloomberg. \u201cJe kan die data anoniem vergaren, maar zodra consumenten weten dat ze gevolgd worden door een winkelcentrum, zijn ze minder geneigd om nog terug te komen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Daarom dat retailers voorlopig nog redelijk stil zijn over het gebruik van gezichtsherkenning, maar het is geen geheim dat er in de nabije toekomst winkels gaan opduiken waar de technologie openlijk gebruikt wordt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Steeds meer retailers beginnen gebruik te maken van, of doen onderzoek naar, het gebruik van gezichtsherkenning in hun winkels.
