De rest van het jaar wordt lastiger door de impact van invoertarieven, waarschuwt het luxebedrijf. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ruim boven verwachting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In het eerste kwartaal steeg de nettowinst met&nbsp;30,7% tot 220,4&nbsp;miljoen dollar (200&nbsp;miljoen euro), het aangepaste resultaat kwam uit op 236&nbsp;miljoen dollar (210&nbsp;miljoen euro), ofwel 3,77&nbsp;dollar per aandeel. Dat is bijna een kwart meer dan de gemiddelde analistenverwachting. De omzet voor het kwartaal steeg met&nbsp;14% tot 1,7&nbsp;miljard dollar (1,5&nbsp;miljard euro).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noord-Amerika liet een omzetgroei van&nbsp;8% zien tot 656&nbsp;miljoen dollar (600&nbsp;miljoen euro), waarbij de vergelijkbare winkelverkopen zelfs met&nbsp;12% stegen. In Europa groeide de omzet met&nbsp;16% naar 555&nbsp;miljoen dollar (510&nbsp;miljoen euro), terwijl Azi\u00eb een indrukwekkende stijging van&nbsp;21% tot 474&nbsp;miljoen dollar (430&nbsp;miljoen euro) liet optekenen. In iedere regio boekte Ralph Lauren een dubbelcijferige vooruitgang in vergelijkbare verkopen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Voorzichtigheid <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Het modemerk kon de gemiddelde verkoopprijzen in de eigen winkels en online met&nbsp;14% doen stijgen, dankzij een uitgesproken focus op merkwaarde en exclusiviteit. Ralph Lauren investeert stevig in zijn imago en merkbeleving, met spraakmakende campagnes, exclusieve modeshows en internationale evenementen. &#8220;We blijven mensen wereldwijd inspireren met onze kernwaarden: ambitie, optimisme, individualiteit en authenticiteit,&#8221; zegt het bedrijf. &#8220;We brengen deze waarden tot leven en nodigen iedereen uit om hun dromen werkelijkheid te maken.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toch houdt CEO Patrice Louvet een slag om de arm: &#8220;We zijn geneigd wat voorzichtiger te zijn in de tweede jaarhelft, vooral in Noord-Amerika.
