Met deze strategie nemen retailers de macht over van A-merken, signaleerde Frans Fredrix tijdens het derde Nationale Private Labelcongres.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<h2>Eigen fabrieken<\/h2>\n<p>Fredrix noemde als voorbeeld <strong>Lidl<\/strong>, dat een eigen chocolade- en ijsfabriek heeft. Ook het Duitse <strong>Edeka<\/strong> opereert voor discountformule Netto een eigen deegwarenfabriek. Dan zijn er fabrieken zoals Dalli-Werke, de grootste wasmiddelenfabriek\u00a0ter wereld in Stolberg bij Aken, die jaarlijks 120.000 ton wasmiddelen produceert voor discountmerken als Cien, W5 en Tandil. Afnemers zijn de grote Europese supermarktorganisaties, waaronder <strong>Aldi<\/strong> en alweer Lidl.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Wasmiddelen bezitten voor consumenten geen emotionele aspecten, meent voormalig algemeen directeur van inkooporganisatie Superunie Fredrix: \u201cConsumenten zijn door programma&#8217;s als Kassa precies op de hoogte van de intrinsieke elementen van het product. Ze kiezen in toenemende mate op basis van intrinsieke ofwel rationele elementen: goede onderdelen, prima service, transparante herkomst, etcetera. Dit aankoopgedrag geldt voor steeds meer producten zoals verzekeringen, computers, auto\u2019s en fietsen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Merken als Bolletje of Blue Band waren vroeger emotie, stelt hij vast: \u201cDe consument wist niet precies wat er in het product zat, maar het merk was goed en vertrouwd. Tegenwoordig is het vertrouwen van de consument in het product vooral gebaseerd op intrinsieke aspecten: het aantal koolhydraten, zoutgehalte, het keurmerk en of het product lactose- of glutenvrij is. Het merk wordt wat het vertegenwoordigt, bijvoorbeeld geen Friki, maar Beter Leven kip. Aldi en Lidl spelen hierop in door visproducten meer waarde te geven met het ASC-logo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Zelf produceren naar klantwens<\/h2>\n<p>Eigen productie wordt voor steeds retailers beschikbaar: \u201cSupermarktformules zitten dicht op de consumenten en kunnen snel inspelen op voorkeuren. Iedere formule kan eenvoudig eigen producten laten produceren volgens eigen specificaties en met een eigen waardecreatie in smaak en verpakking: verrassend en net even anders dan het A-merk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Retailers worden daarbij geholpen door kwalitatieve fabrikanten, die steeds ruimere mogelijkheden bieden voor huismerkproductie. Fredrix: \u201cIs die mogelijkheid er niet, dan bouwen supermarktorganisaties zelf productielocaties.
