Toch is het verschil tussen de kanalen opvallend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minder badpakken, meer D2C<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De vergelijkbare omzet kwam uit op 112,1&nbsp;miljoen euro, een daling van&nbsp;3,5% ten opzichte van vorig jaar. Nochtans groeide de directe verkoop aan consumenten met&nbsp;5% naar 29,7&nbsp;miljoen euro. Daartegenover staan echter de B2B-activiteiten, waaronder leveringen aan onafhankelijke lingeriewinkels en warenhuizen, die met 6,2%&nbsp;terugvielen tot 82,4&nbsp;miljoen euro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ook de winstmarges stonden onder druk: de vergelijkbare EBITDA daalde met&nbsp;10,9% naar 28,4&nbsp;miljoen euro, terwijl de nettowinst met&nbsp;19,8% zakte naar 15,8&nbsp;miljoen euro. CEO Karel Verlinde legt de oorzaak bij drie factoren: zwakkere voorverkopen in badmode, de handelsproblemen in de Verenigde Staten en investeringen in merkvernieuwing. Met name <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/nl\/news\/mode\/van-de-velde-kan-zich-niet-optrekken-aan-tweede-jaarhelft\/\">de herpositionering van het merk <strong>Sarda<\/strong><\/a> kostte de Belgische groep behoorlijk wat geld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vooruitkijkend blijft Van de Velde voorzichtig optimistisch. Na een zwak eerste kwartaal zag het bedrijf in het tweede kwartaal tekenen van herstel.
