Toch gaat een groot deel van die omzet niet naar mode- of luxehuizen, maar naar de multinationale platformen. Liefst 17% gaat al naar tweedehandsmarktplaatsen zoals Vinted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kwart van alle mode online<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>30,5% van alle handel in deze categorie\u00ebn  gebeurt vandaag al online, goed voor 224&nbsp;miljard euro aan omzet in de Europese Unie en het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Luxeartikelen halen online het hoogste aandeel: bijna de helft van de verkopen verloopt digitaal, tegenover 25,7% in mode en 37,2% in <em>beauty<\/em>. Daarvan gaven consumenten 96&nbsp;miljard euro in het buitenland uit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het einde van de digitale opmars is volgens Cross-Border Commerce Europe ook nog niet bereikt: terwijl de modebranche dit jaar met&nbsp;2% zou groeien, verwacht de organisatie een onlinegroei van&nbsp;5% dankzij de sterke groei van online spelers als Zalando, de Chinese nieuwkomer Temu en tweedehandsmarktplaatsen als Vinted. Ze worden zelfs zo sterk dat ze de volledige top-5 van grootste Europese onlineverkopers in de modesector uitmaken. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"835\" height=\"349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Schermafbeelding-2025-09-12-100800.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-128190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Schermafbeelding-2025-09-12-100800.png 835w, https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Schermafbeelding-2025-09-12-100800-300x125.png 300w, https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Schermafbeelding-2025-09-12-100800-768x321.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 835px) 100vw, 835px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aantal internationale spelers groeit nog<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Volgens de vierde editie van het rapport &#8220;Top 500 Fashion, Beauty &amp; Luxury Retail Europe&#8221; van Cross-Border Commerce Europe steeg de omzet van de 500&nbsp;grootste internationale spelers in&nbsp;2024 met&nbsp;32% naar 93,7&nbsp;miljard euro. Die sterke prestatie is ook te danken aan een grotere marktdeelname, want het aantal bedrijven dat in aanmerking kwam voor de ranking steeg met&nbsp;7,5% ten opzichte van vorig jaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marktplaatsen domineren de internationale onlinemarkt, met een gezamenlijke GMV van 53,6&nbsp;miljard euro (57,2%&nbsp;marktaandeel). Tweedehandsplatformen als Vinted en Vestiaire Collective zijn goed voor 15&nbsp;miljard euro, met een verwachte stijging tot 18&nbsp;miljard euro in 2026. Ze hebben online al een marktaandeel van&nbsp;17%. In beauty en luxe is hun positie weliswaar veel minder uitgesproken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duurzaamheid leidt tot digitalisering<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Het rapport verwacht de komende jaren ook blijvende groei, gedreven door de marktplaatsen, circulaire consumptie en technologische innovatie. Virtuele modellen en conversational commerce \u2013 waarbij klanten via AI-tools producten ontdekken en kopen \u2013 verschuiven het consumententraject van scrollen naar interactief kiezen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ook regelgeving dwingt tot verandering: vanaf 2027 worden digitale productpaspoorten verplicht in de EU voor textiel en cosmetica, om de herkomst en duurzaamheid traceerbaar te maken. Luxehuizen zoals Stella McCartney en cosmeticamerk Rituals lopen hierin voorop met QR-codes en blockchain &#8211; die op hun beurt weer tot een verdere digitaliseren leiden. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bijna een derde van alle aankopen van mode, schoonheidsproducten en luxegoederen in Europa gebeuren online.
