Dat vertelde CEO Carlos Brito gisteren tijdens de jaarlijkse aandeelhoudersvergadering.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<h2>\u201cVerantwoord alcoholgebruik\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>Deze toch wel opmerkelijke zet van \u2019s werelds grootste brouwer past in het kader van \u201cverantwoord alcoholgebruik\u201d, waar de bierreus uit Leuven al langer op inzet. Hoeveel dat percentage nu is, kan het bedrijf globaal niet zeggen. Voor sommige landen zijn er wel cijfers: volgens AB InBev wordt bijvoorbeeld 2,1% van de Belgische biermarkt ingenomen door niet- en laag alcoholische bieren. In Duitsland is dat 10,4%, in Spanje zelfs al 17,7%. Er is dus zeker nog groeimarge, zo klonk het gisteren.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In Nederland is die trend trouwens al volop bezig: de verkoop van alcoholvrij bier steeg er in 2015 met 27%: daarmee <a href=\"http:\/\/www.retaildetail.nl\/nl\/news\/alcoholvrij-bier-opmars\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">groeide de verkoop bijna twee keer zo hard<\/a> als een jaar eerder.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Naar 100 miljard dollar tegen 2020<\/h2>\n<p>Brito herhaalde ook dat de groep tegen 2020 streeft naar een omzet van honderd miljard dollar. AB InBev realiseerde vorig jaar een omzet van 43,6 miljard dollar, maar inclusief de omzet van concurrent <strong>SAB Miller<\/strong>, die AB InBev binnenkort zou overnemen, was er vorig jaar een gecombineerde omzet van 64 miljard dollar.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Volgens de CEO ligt de focus momenteel op organische of interne groei. Wel kijkt een kleine groep mensen binnen het bedrijf naar externe groeikansen of overnames. &#8220;Als we een kans zien, die strategisch past en dit aan de juiste prijs, moeten we ernaar kijken&#8221;, klonk het.
