Hoewel dat meer is dan het Europese gemiddelde, blijft Belgi\u00eb achterop hinken tegenover de buurlanden. Ook groeit de lijst met klachten over misleidende of frauduleuze webshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nog altijd groeimarge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>E-commerce is stevig ingeburgerd in het Belgische consumentenleven. Kleding, schoenen en accessoires blijven de populairste online aankopen: 46,7%&nbsp;van de consumenten deed minstens \u00e9\u00e9n aankoop in deze categorie. Abonnementen op streamingdiensten voor films, series en sport volgen met&nbsp;33,8%, terwijl tickets voor voorstellingen (26,8%) en muziekstreaming (26,7%) de top vier vervolledigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daarmee steekt Belgi\u00eb met&nbsp;76% boven het Europese gemiddelde van&nbsp;71,8% uit, zo blijkt uit <a href=\"https:\/\/news.economie.fgov.be\/255266-driekwart-van-de-belgen-shopt-online\/\">het Belgian Digital Economy Overview van de FOD Economie<\/a>. Toch loopt Belgi\u00eb nog achter op buurlanden Nederland (94% van de bevolking shopt online), Frankrijk en Luxemburg (beiden meer dan 80%). Aangezien bijna&nbsp;95% van de huishoudens over een internetverbinding beschikt, blijft het groeipotentieel groot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duizenden klachten<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Parallel met de groei van de online handel, blijft ook het aantal meldingen van consumenten hoog. In&nbsp;2024 registreerde de Economische Inspectie 6.463&nbsp;meldingen over valse webshops, goed voor meer dan een vijfde van het totaal. Daarnaast kwamen 2.436&nbsp;meldingen binnen over niet-geleverde bestellingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De klachten gaan vaak over laattijdige leveringen, verkeerde of inferieure producten en het uitblijven van antwoorden op vragen over garantie of terugbetaling. Ook identiteits- en websitediefstal neemt toe: fraudeurs kopi\u00ebren websites van Belgische handelaars met nauwelijks merkbare aanpassingen in de URL en misbruiken logo\u2019s en contactgegevens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;Tijd om actie te ondernemen&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister van Economie David Clarinval ziet zowel kansen als risico\u2019s. \u201cHet is bemoedigend om vast te stellen dat steeds meer Belgen online winkelen, wat op zijn beurt nieuwe kansen cre\u00ebert voor onze bedrijven en onze economie,\u201d zegt hij. \u201cToch is het tijd om actie te ondernemen om de e-commerce beter te reguleren, onze jobs te behouden en onze ondernemingen te beschermen tegen oneerlijke concurrentie.\u201d Clarinval pleit onder meer voor een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/nl\/news\/algemeen\/regering-wil-twee-euro-taks-op-chinese-pakketjes\/\">heffing van twee euro per pakket onder de 150&nbsp;euro<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister van Digitalisering Vanessa Matz kondigt aan dat de overheid de controles op ingevoerde producten zal versterken en artifici\u00eble intelligentie zal inzetten om verdachte webwinkels op te sporen. Consumenten worden alvast opgeroepen om frauduleuze sites te melden via ConsumerConnect.be.
