Traditionele ketens als <strong>Rewe <\/strong>en <strong>Edeka <\/strong>zagen hun aandeel grotendeels stagneren of licht dalen. Wat is er aan de hand?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Penny stijgt, Rewe verliest terrein<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De Duitse supermarktsector is de voorbije 21 maanden flink in beweging gebleven. Tussen januari 2024 en september 2025 groeide het bezoekaandeel van discounters van 46,5 naar 47,2%, blijkt uit een nieuwe analyse van Accurat. &#8220;Op het eerste gezicht lijkt die verschuiving klein, maar in een markt zo groot en competitief als Duitsland betekent elk procentpunt miljoenen winkelbezoeken. Zelfs kleine verschuivingen in bezoekaandeel kunnen de concurrentie in een markt als Duitsland herdefini\u00ebren&#8221;, legt CEO Bart Muskala uit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Binnen de discountsector onderscheidt <strong>Penny <\/strong>zich als de opvallendste stijger: het bezoekaandeel klom van 3,7 naar 4,4%. Lidl verloor daarentegen terrein, van 14,7 naar 13,4%. De keten kampt met de financi\u00eble nasleep van internationale expansie en lopende winkelrenovaties. Aldi S\u00fcd en <strong>Netto Marken-Discount<\/strong> presteren stabiel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Onder de niet-discounters wist Edeka licht te groeien, van 22,3 naar 22,5% marktaandeel, terwijl Rewe terugviel tot 21,9%. <strong>Kaufland <\/strong>blijft stabiel op ongeveer 8,7%. Edeka plukt de vruchten van zijn decentrale structuur: zelfstandige ondernemers kunnen hun assortiment beter afstemmen op regionale voorkeuren. In Berlijn domineren de niet-discounters: Edeka haalt er 27% van de winkelbezoeken, gevolgd door Rewe (23%) en Lidl (14%). In Saarland ligt het zwaartepunt net omgekeerd bij de discounters, met Aldi S\u00fcd (25%) en Lidl (18%) bovenaan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoewel discounters ook in stedelijke gebieden marktaandeel winnen, blijven ketens als Edeka en Rewe er sterke klantentrouw kennen. In Berlijn bezoeken klanten deze winkels gemiddeld ruim 3,3 keer per maand. In Saarland blijkt echter dat ook discounters duurzame loyaliteit kunnen opbouwen: Aldi S\u00fcd en Lidl hoeven er qua winkelbezoeken niet onder te doen voor de traditionele ketens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cElke regio vertelt zijn eigen verhaal,\u201d benadrukt Maarten Vander Beken, Business Development Manager. \u201cEchte groei ontstaat pas wanneer je lokale prestaties begrijpt en snel inspeelt op veranderend gedrag.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prijs boven merken<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De verschuiving in het Duitse supermarktlandschap illustreert een bredere consumententrend: waarde en prijs winnen terrein op merkentrouw. In tijden van inflatie en economische onzekerheid kiezen steeds meer Duitsers voor prijsbewuste alternatieven. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHet algemene beeld is er \u00e9\u00e9n van weerbaarheid door betaalbaarheid,\u201d stelt het rapport. \u201cDe sterkste merken zijn diegenen die prijs, nabijheid en vertrouwen weten te combineren.\u201d Discounters spelen daar handig op in, met ook modernere winkelconcepten, lokale producten en snellere winkelervaringen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Steeds meer Duitsers doen hun boodschappen bij discountketens zoals Aldi en Lidl.
