Vooral online aankopen blijven voor problemen zorgen: bijna een derde van alle meldingen gingen over transacties via het internet, met frauduleuze webshops als grootste boosdoener.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tekort aan kennis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Van de circa 8.000 meldingen over online handel gaan er iets meer dan 5.000 over malafide websites. Consumenten ontvingen geen producten of goederen van bijzonder slechte kwaliteit, goed voor zo\u2019n 1.800 meldingen. De stijgende instroom zet de economische inspectie danig onder druk, want elke melding wordt bekeken, zegt woordvoerster Lien Meurisse aan VRT Nws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Opvallend: niet alleen klachten, maar ook vragen nemen fors toe. De wettelijke garantie is veruit het meest geconsulteerde thema. Het Contact Center noteerde dit jaar al ongeveer 1.000 vragen via telefoon of e-mail, bijna dubbel zoveel als in 2024. De webpagina over wettelijke garantie op ConsumerConnect werd sinds de lancering 3.000 keer bezocht. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Volgens Meurisse wijst dat op een hardnekkig kennistekort bij consumenten. \u201cWe merken aan de vragen die we binnenkrijgen dat consumenten heel vaak <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vrt.be\/vrtnws\/nl\/2025\/12\/07\/30-000-klachten-consumentenproblemen\/\">hun rechten rond de wettelijke garantie niet kennen<\/a>. En dat willen we natuurlijk veranderen.&#8221; Om het bewustzijn op te krikken lanceert de FOD Economie in december een brede informatiecampagne op radio, tv en sociale media.
