De technologie zelf is niet nieuw, wel de vraag hoe retailers AI structureel en duurzaam in de organisatie verankeren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Zwakke data-integratie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wat begon als een reeks experimenten, groeit bij grote retailers uit tot concrete veranderprogramma\u2019s. Bijna alle grote spelers benaderen AI vandaag op strategisch niveau, al blijft de toepassing vaak beperkt tot specifieke domeinen. De invoering van de Europese AI-wetgeving versnelt die discussie, omdat transparantie en traceerbaarheid AI-projecten boven het louter technische niveau tillen. Een bevraging bij 38 IT-managers uit de retail door EHI Retail Institute voor de Duitse retailvakbeurs EuroShop, toont dat die omslag volop bezig is, maar dat fundamentele obstakels blijven bestaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AI blijkt in de praktijk minder een IT-vraagstuk dan een organisatiebrede verandering. Dat wordt vooral zichtbaar in de manier waarop data wordt beheerd. Ondanks de overvloed aan beschikbare gegevens beoordeelt 67 procent van de verantwoordelijken de eigen data-integratie als zwak of eerder zwak, terwijl slechts 13 procent ze als goed inschat. Data zit verspreid over verschillende systemen, kent kwaliteitsproblemen en mist vaak duidelijke eigenaars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drempels aanpakken<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Die structurele zwaktes hebben een directe impact op de betrouwbaarheid van AI-toepassingen. Zonder consistente en volledige data blijven voorspellingen en toepassingen kwetsbaar. Initiatieven zoals datalakes of centrale platformen tonen wel aan dat gerichte investeringen effect hebben, maar voorlopig blijven ze uitzonderingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het onderzoek benoemt drie drempels die het volle potentieel van AI beperken: beschikbaarheid van data, technische integratie in bestaande systemen en de kwaliteit en bruikbaarheid ervan. Pas wanneer retailers deze drie elementen systematisch aanpakken, kan AI renderen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prijsmanagement illustreert hoe technologie en datastrategie elkaar versterken. Oplossingen voor AI-gestuurde prijsoptimalisatie vereisen een stabiele en gestructureerde data-architectuur. Daarbij gaat het niet om zoveel mogelijk data, maar om betrouwbare, consistente en goed ge\u00efntegreerde informatie. Koppelingen met productinformatie-, ERP- en ordermanagementsystemen, aangevuld met externe data zoals concurrentieprijzen, verminderen manuele tussenstappen en verhogen de betrouwbaarheid van automatische beslissingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI en winkelontwerp<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De impact van AI reikt intussen veel verder dan klassieke toepassingen zoals voorraadbeheer, forecasting of prijszetting. Op retailbeurzen zoals EuroShop wordt duidelijk hoe AI alle facetten van de sector raakt, van winkelontwerp en energiebeheer tot schappenplanning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In winkelplanning maken AI-gestuurde ontwerptools het mogelijk om verkoopruimtes virtueel na te bootsen en in real time aan te passen. Met 3D-visualisaties en augmented reality kunnen retailers looproutes, zichtlijnen en verlichting vooraf testen.
