Webwinkels moeten rekening houden met de stijgende populariteit van tablets en hun webshop geschikt maken voor tabletgebruikers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>2. Mobiele gebruikers zoeken gerichter<\/h3>\n<p>Ook zoeken mobiele gebruikers gerichter dan desktopgebruikers. Een reden hiervoor is dat een mobiele gebruiker &#8211; vooral via smartphone &#8211; al verder in zijn aankoop- of zoektraject zit en dus beter weet wat hij wil. Volgens Microsoft zijn 70 procent van de \u2018query chains\u2019 via een desktop afgerond in ongeveer een week. Bij mobiele gebruikers is dit al afgerond binnen het uur.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>3. Hogere click-through-rate via mobile devices<\/h3>\n<p>Ten derde \u2013 belangrijk voor adverteerders \u2013 ligt de &#8216;click-through-rate&#8217; bij advertenties via mobile devices een stuk hoger dan via de klassieke computer. Dit bleek uit een onderzoek van Marin Software onder 1.000 adverteerders in Amerika.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>4. Verschil in piekmomenten<\/h3>\n<p>Tot slot vermeldt het onderzoek dat er een groot verschil is in het piekmoment van zoeken en kopen tussen m-commerce en e-commerce. De meeste zoekopdrachten via de klassieke computer gebeuren overdag, terwijl het piekmoment van zoekopdrachten via smartphone of tablet plaatsvindt rond 21 uur. Hieruit blijkt dat de desktop voornamelijk gebruikt wordt op het werk en de smartphone of het tablet thuis of op verplaatsing.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>Ook verschillen binnen mobiel<\/h3>\n<p>Andere retailwatchers zijn intussen alweer van opvatting dat &#8220;mobile commerce&#8221; een verouderde term is, omdat smartphones en tablets een totaal ander gebruik kennen. Tablets worden immers meestal thuis in de zetel gebruikt, terwijl consumenten hun smartphones echt in de winkel gebruiken om productinformatie op te zoeken &#8211; en aanverwante deals bij online of offline concurrenten.
