Het is de eerste keer sinds de beursgang in 2011 dat de omzet in het eerste halfjaar daalde ten opzichte van een jaar eerder.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<h2>Enkel vooruitgang in Verenigd Koninkrijk<\/h2>\n<p>De omzet van Prada daalde in de eerste zes maanden van 2016 met 14,8% naar 1,55 miljard euro. De nettowinst viel zelfs nog harder terug en <a href=\"https:\/\/fashionunited.nl\/nieuws\/business\/prada-h1-omzet-daalt-15-procent-past-prijzen-aan\/2016082926996\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">daalde met 24% naar 141,9 miljoen euro<\/a>. De omzetdaling was voelbaar in alle regio\u2019s, behalve in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. De grootste daling (-22%) kwam er in het Verre Oosten, vanwege een moeilijke markt in Hongkong. In Europa was er minder toerisme vanwege de terroristische aanslagen, waardoor ook daar de omzet met 20% daalde. Door de daling van de pond ten gevolge van de Brexit was er in het Verenigd Koninkrijk wel sprake van een omzetstijging.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Prada moet dus alle zeilen bijzetten om de resultaten terug aan te zwengelen. Zo heeft het al besloten om de prijzen van de handtassen te verlagen en minder aandacht te geven aan dure tassen, met prijzen boven 2.000 euro.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Meer aandacht voor e-commerce<\/h2>\n<p>Daarnaast gaat Prada minder geld uitgeven aan advertenties, maar wil het wel meer gaan inzetten op de online verkoop. Prada heeft wel een webshop, maar die wordt al lange tijd stiefmoederlijk behandeld. Daar komt nu verandering in. Er zal ook verkocht worden op andere aanbieders, zoals Net-a-Porter. De komende drie jaar moet de online omzet dan ook elk jaar verdubbelen. Momenteel is de online verkoop goed voor slechts 2% van de totale omzet.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tot slot wordt het winkelnetwerk aangepakt. Winkels op minder gunstige locaties zullen gesloten worden, terwijl andere winkels zullen worden verbouwd en verbeterd.
