De nieuwe focus op non-food rendeert, want de groei werd vooral gedreven door de huishoudelijke producten en beautymerken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Positieve start van het jaar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Unilever rapporteerde een totale omzet van 12,6 miljard euro. De onderliggende omzetgroei, die geen rekening houdt met overnames, desinvesteringen en valutaschommelingen, kwam uit op 3,8%, wat boven de verwachtingen van analisten lag. Topman Fernando Fernandez sprak van een &#8220;goede start van het jaar&#8221;, waarbij de verkochte hoeveelheden verder groeiden. Hogere prijzen droegen slechts voor 0,9% bij aan de groei in het afgelopen kwartaal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desondanks blijft de Europese markt een zwakke schakel, waar de omzet met bijna 1% daalde. De verkopen trokken vooral aan in Azi\u00eb, andere opkomende markten en de Verenigde Staten. Voor het volledige jaar 2026 handhaaft de FMCG-reus zijn prognose voor een omzetgroei tussen de 4% en 6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Focus op effici\u00ebntie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fernandez benadrukte dat Unilever blijft werken aan een &#8220;eenvoudiger en scherper&#8221; bedrijf met een structureel hoger groeipotentieel. Het concern kondigde vorige maand aan een groot deel van zijn voedingsmiddelendivisie, bekend van merken als Knorr en Calv\u00e9, te verkopen aan de Amerikaanse branchegenoot McCormick. Volgens Fernandez wordt de verkoop uiterlijk halverwege 2027 afgerond voor zo&#8217;n 39 miljard euro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unilever heeft de afgelopen jaren al diverse merken van zijn voedingsmiddelendivisie afgestoten, waaronder margarine- en thee-activiteiten en merken als Conimex en De Vegetarische Slager. Deze strategische herziening moet het bedrijf helpen zich te concentreren op de snelgroeiende segmenten van persoonlijke verzorging en beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ondertussen overweegt <strong>KKR<\/strong>, die in 2018 de voormalige margarinedivisie van Unilever kocht, de ex-dochter alweer van de hand te doen. <strong>Magnum<\/strong>, dat zich pas eind vorig jaar afsplitste van Unilever, heeft het dan weer over een &#8220;bemoedigende start&#8221; in het eerste kwartaal: hoewel de totale omzet zakte door wisselkoerseffecten, steeg de verkoop van ijsjes wel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Unilever zette in het eerste kwartaal een solide prestatie, met een onderliggende omzetgroei van 3,8%.
