Dat consumenten wel eens problemen ondervinden met Chinese webshops, houdt hen niet tegen om er opnieuw te kopen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marktaandeelwinst voor buitenlandse verkopers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Belgen besteedden vorig jaar alles samen 18,3 miljard euro aan online aankopen, een groei van 5,4% vergeleken met 2024. Meer dan 90% van alle Belgen shopt online. Grote sectoren blijven kledij en schoenen (2,7 miljard euro omzet), elektronica (1,7 miljard euro) en consumentengoederen als voeding, <em>near food<\/em> en beauty (1,26 miljard euro).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Belgische webshops profiteren echter niet van die marktgroei: hun omzet groeide vorig jaar met slechts 3,43%, een toename die maar net iets hoger ligt dan de inflatie van 3% in 2025. De reden ligt voor de hand: vooral buitenlandse online verkopers, waaronder Aziatische handelaars, winnen marktaandeel. De cijfers komen uit het jaarlijkse onderzoek van de Belgische e-commerce federatie Becom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Oneerlijke concurrentie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHet is geen geheim dat Chinese spelers zoals Shein en Temu jaarlijkse groeicijfers van 20% tot 30% neerzetten, ondanks hun twijfelachtige reputatie. Consumenten kiezen vooral voor Aziatische platformen omdat de producten er goedkoop zijn,\u201d zegt directeur Greet Dekocker van Becom, die spreekt van \u201coneerlijke concurrentie\u201d omdat heel wat Chinese webshops de Europese regelgeving niet naleven en soms minderwaardige of gevaarlijke producten verkopen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWij raden de consument dan ook altijd aan om te kiezen voor lokale webshops. Producten van Belgische spelers zijn niet alleen veiliger en gezonder, ze gaan ook langer mee, je steunt er onze eigen economie mee en vermijdt eventuele verre en dure retours.\u201d \u200bOf online shoppers oren hebben naar dat advies, is maar de vraag. Meer dan zes op de tien Belgen (62%) heeft al eens iets gekocht via een Chinese webshop of marktplaats. Tegelijk heeft 62% van de gebruikers al eens problemen ervaren bij aankopen via Chinese platformen. Toch zegt drie vierde (73%) opnieuw van plan te zijn om er te kopen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI omzeilt de webshop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Een andere vaststelling uit het rapport is de opkomst van AI: 29% van de Belgen gebruikt AI (af en toe) in het aankoopproces van een product of dienst online. Dat is een stijging van 8 procentpunt ten opzichte van eind vorig jaar, toen 21% dat aangaf. 36% geeft bovendien aan dat sociale media soms hun keuze bij online shoppen be\u00efnvloedt. Door <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/nl\/news\/algemeen\/tiktok-shop-in-juni-van-start-in-belgie-en-nederland\/\">de komst van TikTok Shop naar Belgi\u00eb<\/a> vanaf 15 juni wordt het vanaf dan ook mogelijk om via sociale media rechtstreeks aan te kopen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDe opmars van AI dreigt de klassieke webshop ook steeds meer te omzeilen. Consumenten zoeken minder rechtstreeks op websites van handelaars en vragen vaker assistentie aan AI-agents, die vervolgens z\u00e9lf producten selecteren, prijzen vergelijken en mogelijk ook rechtstreeks naar de check-out leiden\u201d, aldus Dekocker. \u201cConsumenten zullen minder rechtstreeks webshops bezoeken en vaker via AI of sociale media onmiddellijk naar een winkelmandje geleid worden, vaak bij buitenlandse spelers.\u201d Het wordt voor webshops dan ook cruciaal om zichtbaar te zijn binnen AI-modellen en via influencers op sociale media.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Belgische webshops profiteren niet van de groei van e-commerce: internationale platformen en AI-agenten winnen terrein.
