De jongste shoppers zoeken effici\u00ebntie, beleving \u00e9n betekenis: winkelen moet praktisch zijn, maar ook verbinden, verrassen en herinneringen opleveren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Winkelen met doel \u00e9n beleving<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De koopaanpak van jongeren sterk varieert per situatie: 83% zegt soms vooral effici\u00ebntie te willen, en andere keren te willen rondneuzen en nieuwe dingen ontdekken. Hoewel 75% bovenal snel en gemakkelijk wil krijgen van wat ze willen, blijft de emotionele en sociale component zwaar meetellen in aankoopgedrag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dat blijkt uit onderzoek van Snapchat en Portas, uitgevoerd met YouGov onder 2.058 Gen Z-consumenten. De studie schetst een generatie die opgroeide in een on-demand digitale wereld, maar tegelijk kampt met economische onzekerheid. Daardoor evolueert winkelen van louter transacties naar momenten die identiteit vormen, verbinding cre\u00ebren en het bewaren waard zijn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kopen als groepsproces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Gen Z neemt aankoopbeslissingen steeds vaker in de eigen kring. Priv\u00e9chats en hechte vriendschappen vervangen publieke posts als plek waar men producten ontdekt, meningen uitwisselt en keuzes valideert. 83% stuurt foto\u2019s of video\u2019s naar vrienden of familie als ze iets overwegen, nog voor de aankoop. Bijna de helft kocht al iets nadat ze het deelden in een groepschat en er positieve reactie kwam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maar ook shoppen zelf is soms gewoon een sociale activiteit, om samen tijd door te brengen (59%), niet om iets te kopen. 42% zegt dat tijd doorbrengen met vrienden of familie hen motiveert om fysieke winkels te bezoeken. Winkelen is zo een gedeelde ervaring, waarin aanbevelingen tellen en beslissingen samen worden gemaakt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fysieke winkel, fysieke ervaring<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Voor de Z-generatie blijft de winkelvloer cruciaal: 75% bezoekt winkels om producten in het echt te zien of te passen en 71% hecht waarde aan zien, voelen en proberen in de winkel. 58% geniet ervan om de tijd te nemen en nieuwe dingen te ontdekken tijdens het winkelen, en 63% kocht iets hoofdzakelijk omwille van de ervaring eromheen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ook de veronderstelling van onmiddellijke bevrediging krijgt een nuancering. 61% is bereid meer dan 15 minuten in de rij te staan voor iets wat zij echt willen, waarbij het wachten de emotionele waarde van de ervaring vergroot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De Memento-generatie en -economie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Gen Z is opgegroeid in een on-demand wereld, dus gemak wordt verwacht. Maar ons onderzoek laat zien dat er cultureel iets diepers gaande is&#8221;zegt Rachel Levy, Head of Retail, Lifestyle and CPG bij Snap UK. Winkelen gaat steeds minder over accumulatie en meer over betekenis, ontdekking en sociale verbinding. Dit is wat wij de Memento-generatie noemen: een generatie die sociale valuta cre\u00ebert niet door eigendom of performance, maar door gedeelde momenten, herinneringen en ervaringen die echt aanvoelen.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Wat we zien is The Memento Economy. Het gaat niet om het bezitten van meer spullen, maar om de betekenis die aan het moment is verbonden&#8221;, bevestigt retailexperte Mary Portas. &#8220;Dingen goedkoper, sneller en handiger maken brengt merken maar tot op zekere hoogte.
