Amerikaanse consumenten echter besparen op hun voedingsaankopen, vooral als gevolg van hoge benzineprijzen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Herstel vergt tijd<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De producent van Pepsi, Lay\u2019s en Doritos zag de omzet in het tweede kwartaal stijgen met 6,4% naar 24,18 miljard dollar. De nettowinst steeg naar 2,98 miljard dollar, of 2,18 dollar per aandeel, een stijging met 3,8%. In voeding stegen de volumes met 3%, in dranken met 2%. Dat zijn goede cijfers, grotendeels in lijn met de verwachtingen. Toch maken waarnemers en beleggers zich wat zorgen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De volumegroei was immers enkel afkomstig van de internationale markten. Op de binnenlandse, Noord-Amerikaanse m arkt blijkt de vraag zwak. Voeding rapporteerde een stabiel volume, de drankendivisie zag het volume dalen met 4%. Inflatiedruk is de oorzaak: consumenten besparen op hun voedingsaankopen. \u201cIk denk dat de consumentenvraag slechter is dan we hadden verwacht, en dat wordt voornamelijk veroorzaakt door de benzineprijzen\u201d, zegt voorzitter en CEO Ramon Laguarta. De vraag was met name zwak bij buurtwinkels en tankstations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die malaise in Amerika houdt al twee jaar aan. PepsiCo probeert het tij te keren met prijsverlagingen tot 15% voor snacksmerken Lay\u2019s, Tostitos, Doritos en Cheetos en met kleinere verpakkingen. Maar het zal volgens het bedrijf tijd vergen vooraleer de volumes zich herstellen. PepsiCo verwacht nog steeds een organische omzetgroei van 2% tot 4% voor het volledige boekjaar, met een groei van de winst per aandeel met 4% tot 6%.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PepsiCo boekt omzetgroei dankzij goede prestaties op de internationale markten.
