Bovendien is de perceptie vaak even belangrijk als het eigenlijke product.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<h2>Niet zo gezond<\/h2>\n<p>In deze tweede aflevering van het grote snackonderzoek van Food in Mind en iVox buigen we ons over het gezondheidsvraagstuk. Het lijkt een open deur: wanneer je consumenten vraagt of ze houden van gezond eten, dan antwoordt 80% van wel. En 75% zegt graag fruit te eten. Toch geeft 41% toe dat ze in werkelijkheid eigenlijk niet zo gezond eten. 49% probeert wel gezonde dingen te eten wanneer ze een tussendoortje nemen, en 62% zegt tijd te maken voor een goed ontbijt. Tussen voornemen en realiteit gaapt echter vaak een kloof&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Waarop letten de Belgen, als het gaat om gezonde voeding? 64% probeert een snelle hap of meeneemeten te vermijden. Voor hen heeft snacken dus toch een eerder negatieve connotatie, ook al doen ze het vaak. Slechts 29% let heel erg op de hoeveelheid calorie\u00ebn die ze dagelijks consumeren. Suiker is een groter issue: 54% let erop om zo weinig mogelijk suiker te eten. 49% tracht om zo weinig mogelijk zout te eten. 23% zegt veel frisdrank of energydrinks te verbruiken. 66% van de ondervraagden zegt vandaag gezonder te eten dan vroeger, en 50% verwacht in de toekomst gezonder te zullen eten.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>De cijfers wijzen wel op de fundamentele trend dat er een mooi marktpotentieel bestaat voor gezonde snacks. Aanbieders die erin slagen om lekkere en handige producten op de markt te brengen die voldoen aan de gezondheidsverwachtingen van de consument, krijgen de wind in de zeilen. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan de sterke groei van Starmeal\/The Foodmaker, met een aanbod gezonde slaatjes, wraps en maaltijden met veel groenten.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Nieuwe segmenten<\/h2>\n<p>Ook fabrikanten hebben wel oor naar de vraag van de consument om gezondere producten op de markt te brengen: sinds 2000 is de hoeveelheid suiker in frisdranken die in Belgi\u00eb worden verkocht met 25% gedaald.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEen positieve ervaring heeft Food in Mind in de koekjeswereld, waar een producent duidelijk het gezondheidsaspect uitspeelt en concurrerende koekjesfabrikanten achter zich laat door alleen in te zetten op bio, gluten- en lactosearm. Vandaag kan deze organisatie zowel de binnen- als de buitenlandse vraag niet volgen\u201d, zegt Eddy Bovijn.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEen recent traject leert ons dat voedingsbedrijven ook kunnen groeien door een verandering van technologie, bijvoorbeeld door in te zetten op vers in plaats van droog of diepvries.
