Wat denken de winkeliers?<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<h2>Steekhoudend argument?<\/h2>\n<p>We moeten er niet flauw over doen, vindt Mike Laleman van de <strong>Spar Colruyt Group <\/strong>in Godinne: &#8220;Het merendeel van de referenties onder huismerk zijn imitaties van producten van A-merken. Daar staat tegenover dat er onder ons huismerk Boni ook enkele heel leuke producten lopen die bij de A-merken niet te vinden zijn. Persoonlijk denk ik dat we dat meer zouden moeten doen.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Elke Vangeel van <strong>Brandtfood<\/strong> spreekt hem enigszins tegen: &#8220;In de producten die wij hebben (n.v.d.r.: eveneens Boni, via een samenwerking met Alvo), zie ik niet meteen veel innovatie uitgaan van private label. Het argument van de A-merken dat zij daar wel in investeren en private label niet, houdt dus wel degelijk steek, vind ik. Mensen shoppen sowieso ook minder sociaalgevoelig, als de portemonnee in het gedrang komt&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Specifieke klantenbehoeften<\/h2>\n<p>Geert Dewitte van de <strong>AD Delhaize<\/strong> Deinze ziet het helemaal anders en klinkt erg enthousiast: &#8220;De innovatie bij private label is enorm, in droge voeding, maar ook bij verse producten. De tijd dat huismerkproducten enkel een kopie waren van bekende producten, is al lang voorbij. De huismerken laten ons toe om veel sneller en ruimer te innoveren, en zo beter op specifieke klantenbehoeften te kunnen inspelen.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dat er bij huismerken vroeger zeker minder innovatie was dan nu, is Olivier Lambert van de <strong>Carrefour Express<\/strong> in Sint-Pieters-Woluwe evenmin ontgaan. &#8220;In de voorbije jaren is er ook in private label evenwel heel wat innovatie gekomen, vooral bij bereide maaltijden en dergelijke. Dat helpt uiteraard om de huismerkproducten beter te positioneren. Een Express-cli\u00ebnteel is eerder jonger (30-40 jaar) en staat open voor nieuwigheden.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Gemiddelde kwaliteit<\/h2>\n<p>Zijn de kwaliteitsverschillen tussen producten van A-merken en huismerken groot? &#8220;Minder dan vroeger,&#8221; denkt Vangeel. &#8220;Het hangt van de productcategorie af \u2013 wij hebben alleen maar koekjes en pasta \u2013 maar de laatste jaren is de kwaliteit van private label toch gestegen. Mijn indruk is dat je ze als gemiddeld mag omschrijven, al was de kwaliteit in de biorange die ik ooit geprobeerd heb, toch minder.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Huismerkproducten zijn tegenwoordig echt wel van goede kwaliteit, werpt Lambert op. &#8220;De kwaliteit is laatste jaren sterk verbeterd. Bovendien hebben we in een Express-winkel in bepaalde categorie\u00ebn in hoofdzaak huismerkproducten, wat een element van differentiatie is ten aanzien van de concurrentie.
