Dat is de grootste stijging sinds drie jaar. Ook de Benelux veert op.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<h2>Zowel prijzen als volumes stijgen<\/h2>\n<p>Deze groei is het resultaat van enerzijds een stijging van de prijzen met 2%, anderzijds een volumestijging van 1,7%, zo heeft Nielsen berekend op basis van de data van foodretailers in 21 Europese landen. In Belgi\u00eb bedroeg de nominale groei 2,8%, het hoogste cijfer sinds jaren. Zowel de prijzen als de volumes stegen met 1,4%. Het gaat om de eerste volumegroei sinds het vierde kwartaal van 2015. In Nederland bedroeg de groei 2,9%, het resultaat van een volumegroei met 0,2% en prijzen die stegen met 2,7%.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Turkije kende veruit de sterkste stijging van de opbrengsten aan de kassa (+14,2%), binnen de EU zijn de sterkste stijgers Slovakije (+9,3%) en Oostenrijk (+6,7%). In Zwitserland daalden de uitgaven (-0,7%), Denemarken (+1,2%) en Griekenland (+1,9%) kenden een kleine groei.\u00a0Van de vijf grootste West-Europese markten was de groei het sterkst in Itali\u00eb (+4,0%),\u00a0gevolgd door Frankrijk (+3,2%). Duitsland deed minder goed (+2,3%) en is de vijfde zwakste van de 21 onderzochte landen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Vier factoren<\/h2>\n<p>Dat de FMCG-markt in heel Europa groeit, is het resultaat van vier belangrijke factoren,\u00a0zegt Olivier Deschamps: &#8220;Betere economische omstandigheden, met name in Frankrijk en Spanje, dalende werkloosheid in een aantal landen, het consumentenvertrouwen dat stijgt naar zijn hoogste niveau in jaren, en een inflatie die onder controle blijft.
