Dat moet lukken dankzij groeiende segmenten als mineraalwater, dierenverzorging, babyvoeding en koffie.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<h2>Dubbele doelstelling<\/h2>\n<p>Concreet wil Nestl\u00e9 de komende jaren zijn omzet organisch met 5% optrekken, waar het vorig jaar slechts uitkwam op een toename met 3,2%\u00a0(het laagste peil in twintig jaar). Tegelijk moet de operationele winstmarge omhoog van 16% in 2016 naar 17,5% \u00e0 18,5% tegen 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>De verhoogde doelstellingen zijn een antwoord op het ongenoegen bij een aantal aandeelhouders. Onder meer de activistische aandeelhouder Dan Loeb, die met zijn hefboomfonds Third Point 1,25% van de aandelen bezit, oefende druk uit op het management. Hij vond de commerci\u00eble prestaties van het bedrijf ondermaats. Verder drong hij aan op een verkoop van de participatie in het cosmeticaconcern L\u2019Or\u00e9al.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Druk op de verkoop<\/h2>\n<p>Topman Mark Schneider probeert daar nu een antwoord op te geven. Hij wil het belang van traditionele consumentengoederen in de omzet verlagen omdat de verkoop ervan onder druk staat, onder meer wegens de weerstand tegen de verkoop van suikerhoudende producten. Tevens nemen nieuwe voedingsconcepten een deel van de markt in.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>De groei moet de komende maanden dan ook vooral komen uit productcategorie\u00ebn die het wel goed doen zoals flessenwater, koffie, kindervoeding en producten voor gezelschapsdieren en voorts uit producten die goed zijn voor de gezondheid. Schneider geeft daarbij wel toe dat het niet makkelijk wordt om tegelijk aan te sturen op een hogere omzet en hogere winstmarges.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Acquisities<\/h2>\n<p>Naast de autonome groei komen er wellicht ook gerichte acquisities en desinvesteringen. Volgens Schneider zal dit een impact hebben van zo\u2019n 10% op de bestaande portfolio.
