De abonnementsdienst voor scheermesjes, die in handen is van Unilever, is al langer een succes in de Verenigde Staten.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<h2>Uitgebreider assortiment<\/h2>\n<p>Het bedrijf werd in 2011 opgericht en ging sindsdien aan de haal met een groot deel van de markt: 20% van het totale volume en 10% van de omzet is nu in handen van Dollar Shave Club. Dat succes viel ook Unilever op, dat in 2016 maar liefst een miljard dollar (850 miljoen euro) neertelde om het bedrijf over te nemen. Sindsdien functioneert Dollar Shave Club als een onafhankelijk onderdeel binnen de Brits-Nederlandse groep.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dollar Shave Club verkocht oorspronkelijk enkel scheermesjes, maar is ondertussen uitgebreid met een assortiment verzorgingsproducten voor mannen. Later dit jaar komen er zo ook producten voor tandverzorging bij.\u00a0\u201cWe willen de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.essentialretail.com\/home\/article\/59db88783d807-dollar-shave-club-to-enter-europe-in-2018\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gemakkelijkste plek zijn<\/a> om producten te vinden die je gebruikt in de badkamer\u201d, zegt CEO en oprichter Michael Dubin.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dollar Shave Club is ook nog niet van plan om zijn producten gewoon in de winkel te leggen.
