KMO\u2019s krijgen daarin een centrale plaats. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<h2>Gerichte initiatieven voor kleinere KMO\u2019s<\/h2>\n<p>In haar derde duurzaamheidsverslag maakt Fevia\u00a0zich sterk dat groei in de voedingssector slechts kan als alle spelers, groot en klein, van duurzaamheid een centrale pijler in hun beleid maken. Die sterke ambities wil de sectorfederatie ook concreet\u00a0maken\u00a0met 76\u00a0initiatieven. Die worden gekoppeld aan negentien uitdagingen, die Fevia kristalliseerde uit de dialoog die de organisatie voert met alle stakeholders, valt te lezen in een persbericht: \u201cOnze ambities gelden voor de gehele sector, maar elk bedrijf legt daarbij natuurlijk eigen accenten. We mogen niet uit het oog verliezen dat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fevia.be\/nl\/pers\/belgische-voedingsindustrie-wil-duurzaam-groeien-met-ambitieuze-strategie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">de voedingssector in Belgi\u00eb voor 95% bestaat uit kmo&#8217;s<\/a> met minder dan 50 werknemers. Ook die kleinere bedrijven willen we helpen met zeer concrete initiatieven voor een duurzamere ontwikkeling\u201d, aldus Guido Vanherpe, voorzitter van het comit\u00e9 duurzame ontwikkeling van Fevia.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Voorzien in drie tot vijf opleidingsdagen per jaar, 20% minder afval produceren, het waterverbuik met 15% terugdringen: het zijn slechts enkele streefdoelen die Fevia in concrete cijfers giet. Heel wat initiatieven helpen de bedrijven in ons land om ook daadwerkelijk hun stempel te drukken op een klimaat dat ten goede komt aan mens, maatschappij, planeet \u00e9n welvaart.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Zo steunen initiatieven als het Convenant Evenwichtige Voeding of de Belgian Pledge de voedingsbedrijven om van de gezonde keuze ook de gemakkelijke keuze te maken. Een ander sprekend voorbeeld is de strijd tegen zwerfvuil, waaraan de verpakkende industrie jaarlijks zeventien miljoen euro bijdraagt via het initiatief De Mooimakers in Vlaanderen en BeWapp in Walloni\u00eb.\u00a0Met <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fevia-duurzaamheid.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deze en andere initiatieven<\/a> hoopt Fevia de voedingsindustrie alvast een\u00a0flink aantal\u00a0stappen dichter te brengen bij een milieu-neutrale sector, met aandacht voor welzijn, faire handelspraktijken en stabiele tewerkstelling in binnen- en buitenland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fevia, de federatie van de Belgische voedingsindustrie, koppelt verdere groei aan 19 uitdagingen en 76 concrete initiatieven voor een duurzamere sector.
