Dat moet perspectieven openen voor concurrenten&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<h2>Gratis verzending<\/h2>\n<p>Amazon heeft in de Verenigde Staten negentig miljoen Prime-leden, die volgens de laatste schattingen jaarlijks ongeveer 1.100 euro\u00a0uitgeven op het platform. Niet-leden geven daarentegen slechts 700 dollar (600 euro) uit. Het gaat hier wel over schattingen, want Amazon geeft geen exacte cijfers vrij.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>De belangrijkste reden voor leden van Prime om lid te blijven is de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20171102005098\/en\/Cracks-Amazon%E2%80%99s-Armor-Show-Opportunities-Retail-Brands\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gratis verzending die mee in het pakket vervat zit<\/a>. Klanten die veel kopen op de webshop, kunnen zo heel wat geld uitsparen: liefst 82% van de abonnees zegt dan ook dat ze het abonnement zouden stopzetten als dat voordeel wegvalt. Het is volgens SmarterHQ \u00e9\u00e9n van de aanwijzingen dat andere retailers nog een kans maken om aan de haal te gaan met de klanten van Amazon, als ze het goed aanpakken.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Het grote probleem voor andere retailers is dat het moeilijk en vooral duur is om op het vlak van goedkope verzending te concurreren met Amazon: klanten verwachten steeds vaker dat producten zowel goedkoop als snel worden verzonden, maar dat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildive.com\/news\/weaknesses-in-amazon-prime-leave-openings-for-rivals\/510107\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">snijdt dan weer flink in de marges<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Goed nieuws voor luxe<\/h2>\n<p>Een ander belangrijke bevinding is dat shoppers op Amazon niet snel meer dan 200 dollar willen uitgeven aan een product, wat vooral voor luxemerken een goed teken is. Bovendien worden de meeste aankopen gedaan in een beperkt aantal productcategorie\u00ebn: zowat de helft van de aankopen gaan over elektronica, boeken, films en vrijetijdsproducten, zoals speelgoed en hobbyartikelen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDe dominantie van Amazon is al langer de focus van heel wat retailers, maar de oplossing om marktaandeel en de loyauteit van consumenten terug te winnen ontsnapt de meeste merken nog steeds\u201d, zegt Michael Osborne, CEO van SmarterHQ. \u201cOns onderzoek toont echter een verrassend optimistisch verhaal voor retailers: consumenten kunnen overtuigd worden om Amazon te verlaten om te winkelen in de winkel of webshop van andere retailers. Gratis verzending is daarbij heel belangrijk.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<h2>Meer engageren<\/h2>\n<p>Andere retailers moeten consumenten ook aanzetten om bij hen nieuwe producten te ontdekken: 63% van de ondervraagden zegt enkel Amazon te bezoeken als ze al perfect weten wat ze willen kopen. Om klanten op hun eigen webshop te houden, moeten retailers hun bezoekers dan ook meer engageren door op basis van hun winkelgedrag\u00a0nieuwe producten tonen.
