Hoewel de omzet in thuisland Duitsland stagneert, is het de bedoeling om de gemiddelde klantomzet te verhogen en meer in te zetten op premiummerken.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Omzet moet weer stijgen in 2018<\/h2>\n<p>Online platformen als Amazon en Zalando veranderen de modesector zo snel dat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.handelsblatt.com\/my\/unternehmen\/mittelstand\/familienunternehmer\/pundc-geschaeftsfuehrer-john-cloppenburg-ein-praktikum-fuer-den-millionaer\/20820964.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">het steeds moeilijker wordt om de verwachtingen bij te houden<\/a>, vertelt John Cloppenburg, medebedrijfsleider van de warenhuisgroep P&amp;C\u00a0D\u00fcsseldorf en zoon van topman Harro Uwe, aan het Duitse Handelsblatt.\u00a0Twee keer per maand staat Cloppenburg zelf in de winkel in D\u00fcsseldorf om te weten te komen wat klanten nu precies zoeken en verwachten bij P&amp;C. Hij is behalve het hoofd inkoop en premiummerken ook het gezicht van de familieonderneming.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In Duitsland stagneert de warenhuisketen, geeft Cloppenburg toe, maar hij is ervan overtuigd dat de omzet in 2018 weer zal stijgen. De Duitse modegroep\u00a0bestaat sinds 1911 uit twee verschillende entiteiten: Peek &amp; Cloppenburg D\u00fcsseldorf en Peek &amp; Cloppenburg Hamburg. De buitenlandse vestigingen, waaronder de Nederlandse en Belgische, vallen onder Peek &amp; Cloppenburg D\u00fcsseldorf. De jaaromzet van P&amp;C D\u00fcsseldorf bedraagt zo\u2019n 1,5 miljard euro in Duitsland, het buitenland voegt daar nog 650 miljoen euro aan toe.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Designercorners en shop-in-shops voor huismerk<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cHet wordt belangrijk om de gemiddelde omzet per klant te verhogen\u201d, zegt Cloppenburg. Dat wil hij doen door onder andere meer premiummerken te verkopen: zo is hij in gesprek met <strong>Furla <\/strong>en <strong>Kate Spade<\/strong> om het handtassenassortiment uit te breiden. Voor mannen werd recent nog een nieuwe designercorner toegevoegd, met merken zoals <strong>Marni <\/strong>en handgemaakte hemden uit Napels. Wellicht komen er bovendien meer schoenen in het assortiment.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Huismerken zijn nochtans goed voor een derde van de omzet bij P&amp;C, en daar ziet\u00a0Cloppenburg ook nog steeds groeipotentieel: \u201cIn elk van onze winkels openen we shop-in-shops van ons sterk\u00a0ontwikkelde huismerk <strong>Jake\u2019s<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ook online wil Cloppenburg de beleving\u00a0verbeteren: \u201cWe hebben het potentieel van het internet aanvankelijk onderschat\u201d, klinkt het, maar ondertussen is de webverkoop toch al goed voor bijna acht procent van de totale omzet op de Duitse thuismarkt.
