De nettowinst nam wel een flinke duik.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Miljardenafschrijving door Amerikaanse belastingwet<\/h2>\n<p>PepsiCo, de groep boven frisdranken als Pepsi en 7Up en snacks als Cheetos en Doritos, realiseerde in het <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pepsico.com\/docs\/album\/q4-2017\/q4_2017_fullrelease_gxpctkgyn9j2zdmz.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vierde kwartaal<\/a> een omzet van 19,5 miljard dollar (ruim 15\u00a0miljard euro), nagenoeg even veel als een jaar eerder.\u00a0De nettowinst\u00a0van 1,4 miljard dollar\u00a0 vorig jaar, smolt echter weg tot een verlies van 710 miljoen dollar (570 miljoen euro). Operationeel steeg de winst wel van 2,4 naar 2,6 miljard dollar (iets meer dan 2 miljard euro), maar boven op een herstructureringslast van 226 miljoen dollar deed PepsiCo in het kader van de nieuwe Amerikaanse belastingwet ook een afschrijving ter waarde van 2,5 miljard dollar, wat de enorme duik verklaart.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Wel voegde CEO Indra Nooyi daar\u00a0meteen aan toe dat de lagere vennootschapsbelasting in de Verenigde Staten de komende jaren gunstige effecten zal hebben op de winst van PepsiCo.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Meer inzetten op e-commerce<\/h2>\n<p>Over heel 2017 zag PepsiCo zijn omzet met \u00e9\u00e9n procent toenemen tot 63,52 miljard dollar of net geen 51 miljard euro. De winst zakte 23% tot 4,9 miljard dollar of zo\u2019n 3,9 miljard euro.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Voor het lopende boekjaar mikt de Amerikaanse frisdrank- en snackgigant op een \u201cgelijkaardige groei\u201d als in 2017. PepsiCo rekent daarvoor onder meer op e-commerce: de groep verkoot nu al online via de marktplaatsen van Amazon en Walmart en via specifieke merkensites.
