Op eigen kracht verhoogt Coca-Cola de omzet met 5%, onder meer door de herlancering van zijn suikervrije drankjes.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Suikervrij in een nieuw jasje<\/h2>\n<p>Coca-Cola sluit het eerste kwartaal van 2018 af met gemengde cijfers: de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coca-colacompany.com\/press-center\/press-releases\/coca-cola-company-reports-solid-operating-results-positive-start-2018\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kwartaalomzet strandde op 7,6 miljard dollar<\/a> (6,2 miljard euro), maar op eigen kracht wist het bedrijf toch een groei te realiseren van 5%. Coca-Cola presteert met zijn omzet nog steeds een stuk beter dan de 7,34 miljard dollar (6 miljard euro) die Thomson Reuters aanvankelijk voorspeld had. Bovendien is de omzetdaling hoofdzakelijk te wijten aan de bottelingsactiviteiten die sinds enkele maanden een proces van herfranchisering ondergaan.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Wereldwijd zag de frisdrankenproducent het verkochte volume toenemen met zo\u2019n 3%, en dat in alle afzetgebieden en voor alle productgroepen. Vooral de eigen drankjes van Coca-Cola dragen bij tot die groei, met een hoofdrol voor de suikervrije producten Cola Light en Cola Zero die voorzien werden van een nieuwe verpakking en verrassende smaken als Feisty Cherry. \u201cDe voorbije jaren hebben we onderzocht hoe we Cola Light terug positief in de kijker kunnen zetten,\u201d zegt CEO James Quincey: \u201cNieuwe looks, nieuwe smaken en goede marketing lijken nu hun vruchten af te werpen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Met een nettowinst van bijna 1,4 miljard dollar (1,1 miljard euro) doet de Amerikaanse drankenproducent het beter dan de 1,2 miljard dollar (1 miljard euro) die het liet optekenen voor dezelfde periode vorig jaar.
