Het duo startte in 2009 met brillen en voegde daar later horloges aan toen. Het label is intussen in meer dan vijftig landen te koop en draaide in 2016 een omzet van om en bij de 16 miljoen euro.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Na een eigen webshop opende Komono vorig jaar een eerste eigen winkel aan de Antwerpse Lombardenvest. Intussen staat de teller al op vijf, want ook in Brussel (Dansaertstraat), Amsterdam (Elandsgracht), Tokio en Madrid is het accessoirelabel intussen actief. \u201cDe flagshipstores in Nederland en Belgi\u00eb hebben we in eigen beheer. Voor de overige landen werken we samen met een lokale partner\u201d, zegt Janssens. \u201cDe shops zijn ontzettend belangrijk voor ons om een groter verhaal te vertellen en het merk in al zijn facetten te tonen aan het grote publiek. We willen de volledige Komono-ervaring aanbieden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Het duo wil <a href=\"http:\/\/www.standaard.be\/cnt\/dmf20180516_03515565\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dit jaar nog Barcelona, Parijs, Londen, Stockholm en Berlijn<\/a> aan dat lijstje toevoegen. \u201cDaarnaast zijn we ook een hub aan het opzetten in Hongkong. Tot nu toe werd de Aziatische markt bediend vanuit Belgi\u00eb, maar binnenkort zullen we deze regio nog beter kunnen opvolgen\u201d, zegt
