Daarom onderzoekt de Global Access to Nutrition Index (ATNI) elke twee jaar hoe de 22 grootste voedingsbedrijven bijdragen tot problemen als overgewicht en ondervoeding. Hoewel veel voedingsmultinationals claimen dat ze hun producten gezonder maken, blijkt uit een analyse van meer dan 23.000 producten in negen landen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accesstonutrition.org\/media\/2018-global-access-nutrition-index-launches-today\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dat amper \u00e9\u00e9n derde van die producten echt gezond mag worden genoemd<\/a>. De fabrikanten hanteren dus minder strikte definities inzake gezonde voeding. Unilever bijvoorbeeld beweert dat 35% van z\u2019n producten gezond is, terwijl dat <a href=\"https:\/\/fd.nl\/ondernemen\/1254926\/producten-van-unilever-helemaal-niet-zo-gezond\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">volgens het onderzoek slechts 10% is<\/a>.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Nestl\u00e9 leidt de rangschikking met bovengemiddelde prestaties in alle categorie\u00ebn van de index en verbetering op de meeste vlakken. Unilever staat op twee, Danone op drie. De grootste vooruitgang boekt <strong>FrieslandCampina<\/strong>, dat vier plaatsen stijgt in de ranking, onder andere dankzij een meer verantwoorde marketingstrategie. Negen bedrijven behaalden een score van 5 op 10 of meer, terwijl dat er in 2016 slechts twee waren.
