Hij benadrukt het belang van een sterke merkstrategie voor retail en ziet nog groot potentieel in online.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Eigen merken<\/h2>\n<p>In een interview met FD blikt afscheidnemend CEO Dick Boer van Ahold Delhaize met trots, maar ook met enige bescheidenheid,\u00a0terug op zijn verwezenlijkingen. \u201cIn de zeven jaar dat ik ceo heb geweest <a href=\"https:\/\/fd.nl\/ondernemen\/1259856\/we-hebben-online-vol-gas-gegeven-en-nooit-op-de-rem-getrapt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hebben we aanzienlijk meer dan 100% aandeelhouderswaarde gecre\u00eberd<\/a>\u201d, zegt hij. \u201cWe stonden en staan nummer 1. Maar dat zeggen voelt toch als: kijk eens wat ik allemaal heb gedaan. Dat past helemaal niet bij mij. Dat is niet mijn stijl.\u201d Boer werd CEO van <strong>Albert Heijn<\/strong> in 2000, en van Ahold in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Onder zijn impuls zette het retailbedrijf sterker in op eigen merken. \u201cIk vond dat we niet alleen een winkel moesten zijn die producten verkoopt met een merk erop, maar dat we zelf een merk moesten zijn.\u201d Ook online was voor Boer een prioriteit: \u201cWe hebben heel veel gas gegeven online. Er wordt op geen enkele rem getrapt. Kijk eens wat de groei is van onze online jongens: meer dan een half miljard. Dat zijn knallen! We hebben een omzetdoel van 5 miljard euro online in 2020 neergezet. Dat is bijna 10% van onze omzet. Er is bijna geen retailer die dat doet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Gezondheid laten prevaleren<\/h2>\n<p>Opmerkelijke uitspraken doet de topman over de verantwoordelijkheid die de industrie moet nemen inzake gezonde voeding. \u201cIk denk dat wij gezondheid moeten laten prevaleren. Ik weet niet of een stoplicht op de verpakking werkt. Is een blikje doperwten gezond? De een zegt ja en de ander zegt dat er te veel suiker in zit. Ik denk dat dat zo is. Dan is het niet gezond. Dan moet je dat ook niet claimen. Daar moet de overheid in leiden. En de industrie moet wereldwijd stoppen met marketing van ongezonde producten gericht op kinderen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIk denk dat het een mooi moment is om de stok over te dragen. Het bedrijf staat er goed voor, de fusie met <strong>Delhaize<\/strong> is gedaan en dan heb je iemand nodig die zich een aantal jaar aan die nieuwe fase verbindt. Dat is een goed moment om te stoppen. Ik ben nu 60 jaar. Met mijn idee\u00ebn kan ik ook andere dingen gaan doen.
