Carrefour test het uit."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In vier Franse winkels heeft <strong>Carrefour<\/strong> het merendeel van de nationale merken uit de rekken gehaald, om te testen in welke mate consumenten bereid zijn om hun winkelkar uitsluitend met huismerken te vullen.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Ongezien experiment<\/h2>\n<p>Het is een onderdeel van het grote transformatieplan dat topman Alexandre Bompard eerder dit jaar aankondigde: het omzetaandeel van de huismerken moet bij Carrefour stijgen naar 33%. Om dat objectief te bereiken, zal het aanbod flink moeten worden uitgebreid. De retailer lijkt daarnaast in de praktijk te willen uittesten in hoeverre de consument klaar is om mee te stappen in die huismerkenlogica en zijn koopgedrag aan te passen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Retailwatcher Olivier Dauvers ontdekte het proefproject als eerste en deelde het op zijn blog. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.olivierdauvers.fr\/2018\/09\/11\/lincroyable-test-de-carrefour-qui-se-passe-des-marques-nationales\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Het is een ongezien experiment<\/a>, meent hij: niet \u00e1lle nationale merken zijn uit de rayons verdwenen, maar in heel wat categorie\u00ebn vertegenwoordigen\u00a0huismerken nu wel 80% van het aantal &#8216;facings&#8217;. Grote Franse merken als Teisseire, Puget of Francine zijn nergens meer te bekennen. De test loopt momenteel in vier winkels: de supermarkten Carrefour Market in Rubelles (Seine-et-Marne) en Rouvroy (Pas-de-Calais) en de hypermarkten in Saran (Loiret) en Ville-du-Bois (Essonne).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Prijspositionering<\/h2>\n<p>De motieven van Carrefour liggen voor de hand: huismerken kunnen bijdragen tot het merkimago van een retailer. Doordat ze goedkoper zijn dan de A-merken, scherpen ze de prijspositionering aan, terwijl ze anderzijds wel betere marges genereren. En met een goed uitgebouwd huismerkaanbod kan een retailer ook een vuist maken tegen dominante merkfabrikanten. Best interessant, dus. Toch is het een meer dan opmerkelijke zet, als je bedenkt dat retailers die tot voor kort uitsluitend huismerken verkochten, nu steeds meer merken opnemen in het assortiment \u2013 denk maar aan Aldi en Lidl.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Carrefour is overigens niet de eerste grote retailer die het potentieel van een exclusief huismerkenassortiment uittest. \u00a0<strong>Delhaize<\/strong> deed dat eerder al in een aantal stadswinkels met het uithangbord Delhaize City, een formule <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/nl\/news\/food\/delhaize-city-houdt-op-te-bestaan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">die in 2012 werd opgedoekt<\/a>.
