{"id":2913,"date":"2013-04-16T09:56:22","date_gmt":"2013-04-16T09:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/food\/belg-koopt-steeds-meer-fruit-en-groente-hard-discount\/"},"modified":"2013-04-16T09:56:22","modified_gmt":"2013-04-16T09:56:22","slug":"belg-koopt-steeds-meer-fruit-en-groente-hard-discount","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/nl\/news\/food\/belg-koopt-steeds-meer-fruit-en-groente-hard-discount\/","title":{"rendered":"Belg koopt steeds meer fruit en groente in hard discount"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Trend 1: vers is (en blijft) dominant<\/h2>\n<p>Ruim <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pers.vlam.be\/detail.phtml?id=1573\" rel=\"noopener\">drie kwart van de groente- en fruitaankopen<\/a> door de Belgische gezinnen bestaat uit <strong>verse groenten en fruit<\/strong>, zo blijkt uit een enqu\u00eate van marktonderzoeksbureau GfK Panel Services in opdracht van VLAM, het Vlaams Centrum voor Agro- en Visserijmarketing.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>De verwerkte groenten en fruit winnen slechts lichtjes aan belang: vooral de <strong>smoothies en de verse &#8216;natuurlijke&#8217; sappen<\/strong> worden populairder: hun marktaandeel steeg de afgelopen tien jaar van 14 naar 15%. Diepvriesgroenten en groenteconserven zijn stabiele segmenten. Fruit in blik boet daarentegen aan belang in.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Trend 2: hard discount grootste winnaar<\/h2>\n<p>In ons land wordt de <strong>groente- en fruitverkoop nog altijd gedomineerd door de supermarkten<\/strong>: bijna de helft van alle verse groenten en fruit (47,6%) wordt in dit kanaal gekocht.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Toch valt ook in 2012 de <strong>groei van de harddiscount (21,6% marktaandeel) en de buurtsupermarkt (14,3%)<\/strong> niet te ontkennen. De harddiscount is op lange termijn zelfs de grootste winnaar: de Aldi&#8217;s en Lidl&#8217;s van deze wereld zagen hun marktaandeel stijgen van 16% in 2005 tot al bijna 22% vorig jaar.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dat gaat dan vooral <strong>ten koste van de openbare markt en de speciaalzaak<\/strong>. Beide kanalen zijn de grootste verliezers van het voorbije decennium: zij zagen hun marktaandeel halveren van respectievelijk 12,9% naar 6,1% en van 8,9% naar 4,2%.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Trend 3: mag het eens iets anders zijn?<\/h2>\n<p>Het mag voor de Belg blijkbaar allemaal &#8220;ietsje anders&#8221; zijn. Het mooiste bewijs? De groei van sla (+4% het voorbije decennium) komt volledig op naam van ijsbergsla en andere speciale slasoorten, want de <strong>goeie ouwe kropsla verliest jaar na jaar terrein<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Soortgelijk verhaal bij de tomaten: bedroeg het aandeel van de normale (losse) tomaten in 2000 nog bijna driekwart, dan is het nu gedaald tot zo&#8217;n 36%. De<strong> trostomaten hebben de plaats van de losse tomaten ingenomen<\/strong>: dit segment verdubbelde in tien jaar tijd zijn marktaandeel van 20% naar 40%. Het aandeel stabiliseert nu rond de 38%. Ook andere &#8216;specialere&#8217; tomaten zijn hip: zo halen kerstomaten nu 11% marktaandeel en zijn lange romatomaten al goed voor 15% van de tomatenverkoop.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aan de prijs kan het nochtans niet liggen<\/strong>, want kerstomaten kostten vorig jaar in de winkel 2,5 keer zoveel als normale, losse tomaten, trostomaten waren 7% duurder en lange romatomaten 30%. De verklaring zou eerder te zoeken zijn in de verhoogde aandacht voor gezondheid, de veranderende leef- en eetgewoonten en in de kookhype in de media.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Wortel en appel populairste<\/h2>\n<p>Overlopen we de lijstjes met groenten en vruchten die we het vaakst eten, dan zien we dat <strong>wortelen voor het eerst populairder zijn dan tomaten<\/strong>. We aten vorig jaar 6,3 kg wortelen per persoon (+21% t.o.v. 2011) tegen 6,1 kg tomaten (-3%) en 4,5 kg ajuinen (+15%). Witloof en sla vervolledigen de top-5.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bij het fruit blijven<strong> appelen (9,8 kg\/persoon) en sinaasappelen (8,7 kg\/persoon) de populairste<\/strong>, al boeten beide categorie\u00ebn wel ferm aan populariteit in (respectievelijk -14% en -21%). De top-5 wordt aangevuld met allemaal sterke stijgers: bananen (+26%), mandarijntjes (+17%) en peren (+10%).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trend 1: vers is (en blijft) dominant
