Niet alleen steeg de omzet met meer dan 41%, ook werden de operationele verliezen beperkt. In de Benelux zet het bedrijf nieuwe stappen.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Investeringen<\/h2>\n<p>HelloFresh bereikte afgelopen boekjaar een omzet van bijna 1,3 miljard euro, een groei met 41,4%. Daarbij leed het bedrijf 54,5 miljoen euro brutoverlies, wat beter is dan de 71 miljoen euro verlies in boekjaar 2017. De belangrijkste oorzaak van de rode cijfers is te vinden in de Verenigde Staten, waar de leverancier grote investeringen doorvoert. Het internationale segment boekte echter voor het eerst winst: 14,9 miljoen euro, onder andere dankzij een zeer sterk vierde kwartaal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;2018 was ons meest succesvolle jaar tot nu toe, waarin we ons aanbod voor klanten op basis van maaltijden, keuze en prijs significant hebben uitgebreid, en we zijn marktleider geworden in al onze markten&#8221;, zegt mede-oprichter en CEO Dominik Richter. Voor het volledige jaar 2019 verwacht HelloFresh een omzetgroei van 25 \u00e0 30% en wil het voor het eerst een break-even bereiken.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Duurzaam distributiecentrum<\/h2>\n<p>Aparte cijfers voor de Benelux publiceert de onderneming niet, maar \u201cWij kijken terug op een positief jaar in de Benelux. Wij streven er naar om het onze klanten zo gemakkelijk mogelijk te maken en we hebben in het afgelopen jaar veel gedaan qua productontwikkeling\u201d, zegt Maartje Frederiks, CEO van HelloFresh Benelux. \u201cZo hebben we onze \u2018Quick &amp; Easy box\u2019 ge\u00efntroduceerd en daarnaast premium-gerechten toegevoegd aan ons wekelijkse aanbod.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Belangrijkste mijlpaal afgelopen jaar was de opening van een duurzaam distributiecentrum in Bleiswijk. \u201cWe zijn hier onwijs trots op omdat het een uniek ontwerp is, volledig gebaseerd op onze wensen, waardoor we de mogelijkheid hebben onze klanten een groter en uitgebreider assortiment aan te bieden.
