Reden hiertoe is dat het volgens GfK vandaag \u201calsmaar complexer en moeilijker wordt om \u2018brand power\u2019 in te zetten om een \u2018powerbrand\u2019 te bouwen\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDoorheen de tijd zijn merken ge\u00ebvolueerd van een eenvoudig label naar wat we vandaag een totale merkbeleving kunnen noemen. Daarbij komt nog dat <em>consumer<\/em> en <em>shopper journey<\/em> in dit e-tijdperk volledig met elkaar versmelten in een zee van <em>touch points<\/em>\u201d, aldus Dirk Vanderveken, divisiedirecteur Consumer Experiences bij GfK.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>De crisis vormt daarbovenop ook nog eens een aanzienlijke bedreiging voor A-merken, vervolgt Vanderveken: \u201cVoedingsinflatie voorspelt druk op volumegroei en \u2018private label\u2019-expansie: tijdens een inflatiepiek dalen FMCG-volumes, tijdens in periodes van lage inflatie volumes weer de hoogte in gaan. Echter, ondertussen is de consument van de huismerken gaan houden, waardoor shoppers die overstappen naar private label zeer moeilijk terug te halen zijn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Niet meer investeren in <em>brand equity<\/em> in tijden van contractie is volgens GfK met andere woorden uit den boze: wil een A-merkfabrikant zich wapenen, dan zal zijn focus moeten liggen op brand equity, met portfolioprijsmanagement en innovatie als belangrijkste instrumenten. En vandaar ook de PowerBrand Award, om de A-merken een duwtje in de rug te geven.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>\u201cWaardeperceptie drijfveer consumentengedrag\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>Door middel van een nieuwe methodologie kan GfK sinds kort naar eigen zeggen multi-dimensioneel de merkwaarde van elk FMCG-merk berekenen. Zo werd dan ook een top vijf opgesteld van \u2018powerbrands\u2019 in de branche, met als eerste winnaar Coca-Cola.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>GfK PowerBrand Top 5:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Coca-Cola<\/li>\n<li>Danone<\/li>\n<li>Knorr<\/li>\n<li>C\u00f4te D\u2019Or<\/li>\n<li>Tiense suiker<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDit onderzoek toont aan dat ook in economisch uitdagende tijden \u2018waardeperceptie\u2019 een van de belangrijkste drijfveren van consumentengedrag is. Dit is iets wat je langzaam en duurzaam opbouwt.
