Zo is de vrees voor een toename van de werkloosheid in de komende twaalf maanden duidelijk afgenomen. Dit hangt samen met een <strong>meer rooskleurige inschatting van de economie<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>De index van het consumentenvertrouwen van de Belgische Nationale Bank verdapperde deze maand <strong>van -18 punten naar -16 punten<\/strong>. Dat er geen sterkere vooruitgang kwam, was te wijten aan de iets <strong>minder gunstige prognoses voor de persoonlijke financi\u00eble situatie<\/strong> en het spaarvermogen in het komende jaar. Mogelijke besparingen en\/of nieuwe belastingen die de regeringen overwegen om hun rekeningen op orde te krijgen, zijn hieraan niet vreemd.<\/p>\n<h2>\n<br \/>Nederlanders houden de buidel dicht<\/h2>\n<p>In <strong>Nederland<\/strong> ging het consumentenvertrouwen in juli de andere kant op. De index van het consumentenvertrouwen, die er wordt opgemaakt door het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek, <strong>daalde in juli met 2 punten naar -38 punten<\/strong>. De lichte daling kwam doordat de Nederlandse consumenten negatiever waren over het economisch klimaat. Hun <strong>koopbereidheid bleef onverminderd laag<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Het oordeel over de vraag of de tijd gunstig is voor het doen van grote aankopen, zoals wasmachines en televisies, veranderde nauwelijks. Daarin speelt ook de <strong>inschatting van de eigen financi\u00eble situatie<\/strong> een rol. De voorbije twaalf maanden was die iets minder ongunstig geworden, maar in de volgende twaalf maanden hebben de Nederlanders maar weinig vertrouwen.
