Welzijn en gezondheid staan centraal, verse en biologische producten doen het goed. Uiterlijke verzorging is minder belangrijk\u2026<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Balans tussen werk en priv\u00e9<\/h2>\n<p>Het lijkt er sterk op dat de coronacrisis de consument gezonder maakt: onderzoek van GfK wijst immers uit dat Belgische consumenten meer thuis koken, meer vers fruit en groenten eten en meer belangstelling hebben gekregen voor tuinieren. Tijdens de eerste twee weken van de lockdown heeft bijna elke Belg (96%) thuis gekookt: dat is 33% meer dan normaal. Daardoor hebben ze ook 20% minder bereide maaltijden gegeten. Ongeveer \u00e9\u00e9n op de vier Belgen zegt meer vers fruit en groenten te eten, en \u00e9\u00e9n op de vijf is dat ook de komende weken van plan, zo blijkt uit de Coronavirus Consumer Pulse Study.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Psychologisch comfort zoeken consumenten in de tuin en in klussen: 72% is nu ge\u00efnteresseerd in tuinieren (17% meer dan normaal) en 65% in doe-het-zelven (12% meer dan normaal). &#8220;Deze trends suggereren dat de coronacrisis de aandacht van de consument transformeert, waardoor de consument meer dan voorheen gericht is op zijn welzijn&#8221;, zegt Richard Boyko van GfK. Consumenten nemen de gelegenheid te baat om hun balans tussen werk en priv\u00e9leven opnieuw te defini\u00ebren. &#8220;De vraag is hoeveel van deze experimenten permanente veranderingen zullen worden.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Lenteschoonmaak<\/h2>\n<p>Verkoopcijfers van <strong>Delhaize<\/strong> bevestigen de trend. Na de hamsterfase \u2013 die het gehele assortiment met gemiddeld meer dan 200% deed pieken \u2013 ziet de retailer dat klanten meer producten kopen om zelf te koken: er is een duidelijke stijging van de verkoop van suiker, dessertbereidingen en zuivelproducten. Bladerdeeg ging er met 100% op vooruit, melk met 145% en verse gist met wel 206%. Eieren en room stegen respectievelijk met 40% en 71%. Voor bloem was er een verdrievoudiging die zich vertaalde in een verkoop van wel een miljoen pakjes of duizend ton per week.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>De volumes van shampoo, haarkleuringen en huidverzorgingsproducten nemen met 40% toe. Niet onlogisch, aangezien kapperszaken, schoonheidsinstituten en gespecialiseerde winkels gesloten zijn. Scheerproducten echter dalen met 5 tot 10% en make-up stagneert, nu mensen in hun kot blijven. Tijd is er alleszins voor de lenteschoonmaak: Delhaize ziet een verviervoudiging van het volume van bleekmiddel en een verachtvoudiging van het volume van Dettol-producten.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Bio in de lift<\/h2>\n<p>Opmerkelijk is ook dat de verkoop van biologische producten piekt tijdens de lockdown. <strong>Hygiena<\/strong>, Belgische groothandel in bioproducten, zag de omzet in maart stijgen met 63%, met uitschieters voor biologische vloeibare handzeep (+526%) en biologisch meel (+329%). Ook glutenvrije patisseriemix (+298%) of groenteconserven (+188%) kennen uitzonderlijke groeicijfers. Ook eind april blijven de verkoopcijfers nog sterk stijgen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;De groei in de verkoop van ons meel, onze culinaire hulpmiddelen en broodmixen bewijst dat men in deze periode niet enkel de tijd neemt meer thuis te kokerellen, maar dat de consument ook nog eens biologisch kiest vanuit het gezondheids- en smaakaspect,\u201d denkt verkoopdirecteur David Van de Gehuchte.
