Om te concurreren met online players als <strong>Amazon<\/strong>, <strong>Bol.com<\/strong> of\u00a0<strong>Coolblue<\/strong>\u00a0zullen retailers veel slagkrachtiger moeten worden, zegt Antoine Durieux van <strong>Alkemics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Inspelen op consumentenverwachtingen<\/h2>\n<p>Alkemics, een onlineplatform dat de commerci\u00eble relaties tussen retailers en hun leveranciers digitaliseert, gaat nu ook in Belgi\u00eb van start, zegt medeoprichter en CEO Antoine Durieux aan RetailDetail. \u201cWe zijn iets meer dan vijf jaar geleden in Frankrijk gestart. Daar werken we nu met de zeven grootste foodretailers en met 17.000 merken, waaronder ook Belgische fabrikanten. Intussen zijn we ook actief in Engeland, waar we met onder andere Tesco, Ocado, Waitrose en Sainsbury\u2019s samenwerken. En dit jaar leggen we de focus op Belgi\u00eb en Duitsland.\u201d De stap naar Belgi\u00eb is logisch, aangezien Alkemics in Frankrijk al samenwerkt met verschillende retailers die ook op de Belgische markt actief zijn, zoals <strong>Colruyt<\/strong>, <strong>Carrefour<\/strong>, <strong>Cora, Intermarch\u00e9 en Metro<\/strong>. Bart Laumans zal de tool hier in de markt zetten.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Wat Alkemics precies doet? Het platform digitaliseert het hele commerci\u00eble proces, van bij de zoektocht naar nieuwe producten tot de lancering in de winkels. \u201cRetailers en merken hebben uiteraard niet op ons gewacht om de onderlinge relaties effici\u00ebnter te beheren, maar ze gebruiken verschillende oplossingen door elkaar: voor gegevensuitwisseling, voor elektronische facturatie, voor offertes\u2026 Medewerkers verliezen daardoor veel kostbare tijd. Dat kan je je niet meer permitteren wanneer je concurreert met <em>pure players<\/em> die miljoenen producten in assortiment hebben en die in staat zijn om uiterst snel in te spelen op nieuwe consumentenverwachtingen en micro-trends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Winst aan productiviteit, snelheid en kwaliteit<\/h2>\n<p>Een ge\u00efntegreerd platform biedt heel wat voordelen. Het laat retailers en hun zowel grote als kleine leveranciers toe om vlotter met elkaar in contact te komen en digitaal samen te werken. Retailers ontdekken makkelijker nieuwe leveranciers en producten om beter te beantwoorden aan de consumentenverwachtingen. Snelheid is het grote voordeel: de \u2018go-to-market\u2019 wordt sterk ingekort, tegelijkertijd zorgt het online platform voor een continue update van data wat essentieel is voor data betrouwbaarheid.\u00a0 Er wordt een grote productiviteitswinst geboekt: medewerkers hoeven geen honderden Excel Formulieren in te vullen en e-mails uit te wisselen. Dat brengt een kostenvoordeel met zich mee. Het concept heeft z\u2019n nut meer dan bewezen tijdens de corona crisis, toen fysieke meetings geen optie waren.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Het bedrijf zet sterk in op gebruiksgemak. \u201cDe grote meerderheid van onze klanten aan leverancierszijde zijn KMO\u2019s. Je hoeft geen software te installeren of te configureren. Op het platform kan je je bedrijfsprofiel cre\u00ebren, productfiches maken op basis van uiteenlopende bronnen, en vervolgens kan je al in gesprek gaan met de retailers. Het is heel ergonomisch, dit is echt een platform van de nieuwe generatie.\u201d<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Alkemics startte in de voedingssector, maar breidt nu de activiteiten stelselmatig uit naar andere sectoren: \u201cWe zijn intussen ook actief in de cosmetica, de parafarmacie, de travel retail\u2026 En dit jaar lanceren we onze oplossing voor de doe-het-zelf, textiel, en speelgoed.
