Het leverde het sneakermerk ook (iets) meer winst op.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Stabiel kwartaal ondanks Covid<\/h2>\n<p>Nike boekte in het voorbije kwartaal, van juni tot augustus, 10,6 miljard dollar omzet (9 miljard euro). Dat is amper 1% minder dan een jaar eerder, en dan nog vooral door wisselkoersschommelingen. Het was bovendien beter dan de 9,13 miljard dollar die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deaandeelhouder.nl\/nieuws\/2020\/09\/22\/meer-winst-voor-nike\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">analisten gemiddeld verwachtten<\/a>. Terwijl de verkoop toenam in de belangrijkste markten, waaronder China, Japan, Zuid-Korea en het Verenigd Koninkrijk, daalde de omzet op de Noord-Amerikaanse thuismarkt.<\/p>\n<p>\nDe sportkledingproducent slaagde er dus in vrij stabiele prestaties neer te zetten, ondanks een nog beperkte fysieke winkelverkoop, volgens CEO John Donahoe met name door het coronavirus en de veiligheidsmaatregelen. Deels worden de lagere bezoekersaantallen goedgemaakt doordat bezoekers wel meer met de intentie komen om te kopen, maar vooral schiet e-commerce de hoogte in: de onlineverkoop steeg met liefst 82%.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Minder hoge kosten<\/h2>\n<p>De digitale verschuiving blijkt voor Nike ook onder de streep interessant te zijn, want de nettowinst kwam neer op 1,52 miljard dollar, of 0,95 dollar per aandeel. Dat is dubbel zoveel als de 0,42 dollar per aandeel waar analisten vanuit gingen en ook (licht) meer dan de 0,86 dollar van vorig jaar. De voornaamste reden: de \u2018cost of sales\u2019, de kost voor elk verkocht item, was lager. Zo wist het bedrijf te besparen op marketingskosten, aangezien er toch weinig tot geen grote sportevenementen waren, en had Nike ook minder administratieve en verkoopkosten.<\/p>\n<p>\nVoor CEO John Donahoe is het koren op de molen, want de topman is ervan overtuigd dat het sportieve label beter kan inzetten op (online) directe verkoop dan op de klassieke wholesalekanalen. Hij gelooft dan ook dat de verschuiving naar online een blijvende trend wordt. \u201cWe weten dat digitaal de nieuwe norm is. De consument is vandaag digitaal geaard en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/business-54244967\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">zal eenvoudigweg niet meer terugkeren<\/a>,&#8221; klinkt het overtuigd tegenover de BBC. Onderzoeksbureau GlobalData nuanceerde in een recent onderzoek nochtans dat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retaildetail.be\/nl\/news\/algemeen\/online-heeft-de-fysieke-winkel-nodig-ook-coronatijden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">de fysieke winkels een essenti\u00eble rol blijven spelen<\/a>, zelfs in de e-commerceverkoop.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Digitaal is het Nieuwe Normaal voor Nike.
