De collectie bestaat uit 116 kledingstukken voor het herfstseizoen en werkt zoveel mogelijk met milieuvriendelijke materialen, zoals organisch katoen en lyocell.<\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Samenwerking tussen merken<\/h2>\n<p>Op het shopplatform van Zalando is vanaf nu ook een exclusieve capsulecollectie te vinden met 116 items die speciaal voor de onlineretailer werden ontworpen. Acht Europese labels gingen met de oproep aan de slag om een collectie te maken met de nadruk op duurzaam gecertificeerde materialen. Zo werd onder meer met organisch katoen, zachte lyocell en milieuvriendelijk triacetaat gewerkt.<\/p>\n<p>\nDe collectie is ontworpen voor het tussenseizoen en heeft vooral herfsttinten. De deelnemende merken zijn Closed, Designer\u2019s Remix, Henrik Vibskov, Holzweiler, House of Dagmar, Mother of Pearl, Mykke Hofmann en Progetto Quid uit Scandinavi\u00eb, Duitsland, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Itali\u00eb. Zalando meent dat door de merken te laten samenwerken nieuwe stappen in de richting van een duurzamere mode-industrie worden gezet.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>De industrie vooruit helpen<\/h2>\n<p>De onlineretailer erkent immers dat de kledingindustrie in hoge mate bijdraagt aan de milieuproblemen en heeft sinds vorig jaar ook een eigen duurzaamheidsmissie: op termijn wil het platform een \u201cnetto positieve impact op mens en milieu\u201d hebben. \u201cEn we blijven onze rol in de mode-industrie spelen om de industrie vooruit te helpen op dit vlak\u201d, klinkt het.<\/p>\n<p>\nHet is al de tweede capsulecollectie voor Zalando: in januari 2020 ging een eerste samenwerking van start onder de naam \u201cSmall steps.
